You get what you pay for
I bought this item after managing to kill two expensive Polars and a fairly expensive Beurer in the last three years, and didn't feel like forking out a lot of money for something else that wasn't going to last.Basics: The watch is quite nice looking, and comfortable to wear. The screen is perhaps a little on the small side (especially for those of us who normally wear reading glasses - but not during a workout!) meaning that you have to have a good look rather than a quick glance. The screen also seems to be domed or magnified, probably to make the digits appear larger, but it is actually counter productive as at times it can make it difficult to read depending on how the light hits it. The light button works well - but makes the digits fade! The four side buttons are large and accessible - but possibly too large, as they are easily activated by mistake. Worn in the normal position on the wrist, the buttons are quite easily pushed by the back of the hand during some exercises - weight training in particular. Unfortunately being left handed I wear my watch on the right hand which means the buttons involved are the two main ones - mode & scan - which turn the heart rate monitor off!My only other gripe would be that it appears to be controlled by anything with an electronic signal. It switches on and off at will anywhere near a TV remote or the wireless modem for the pc, but as this doesn't really hinder your workout much - it's a minor concern. All in all, it's a decent enough product for the money. It does what it says on the tin without costing a lot of money - which is what I wanted.
