Driver (Jewel Case) - PC

Great game but if you are not computer savvy this won't work on most windows systems . You will have to install the game and download a no cd patch or crack because the safedisc encryption is not supported anymore in windows and the game won't start.I knew this before i bought the game. But it will play if you are willing to download the correct patch from some questionable websites .It is a great game and could be a blast from the past for somebody.

If I would have known that this was a 1999 vintage CD I never would have ordered it! The graphics and game play reflect the fact that it is outdated. Control of the vehicles seemed very difficult and unrealistic.

The game was in great condition and not scratched but the case could've been better. It was cracked in a couple places and had scratches on the case.

Driver is no doubt one of the best auto games I've come across when it comes to graphics, realism, etc. etc. The cities do look like cities with your crowded streets and traffic systems. And as far as the levels being the same as the cities in real life, they DO resemble them with the streets/landmarks/etc. Plus the physics are pretty realistic as well as far as I can tell. But, lone behold, there are problems, though some people may be able to tolerate them more than others. First off, the cops DO NOT act like cops in real life! They drive more like psychopathic maniacs than law enforcers. Ever watch one of those police chase shows on TV? I guarantee you would not see the cops attempting to ram a suspect head on going at 80 miles per hour on one of those shows...not to mention if you DID hit someone head on going that fast your car would be totalled (in the game if this occurs, it takes around a quarter of your damage meter) plus you'd be dead. But I suppose if the game were THAT realistic, it wouldn't be fun, now would it? And what ever happened to keeping the innocent safe? The cops cause more accidents than I do, for crying out loud! The other cars also pretty much move at the same speed throughout the levels, even on the freeways (30 or 40 mph). Well, enuff of the complaints.Whenever I play this game, i usually just run from the cops thru Miami and San Francisco, since I'm too lazy to even bother with the Undercover stuff. The game is actually quite challenging (bad news for me...heheh), so if you're up for it, go right ahead. I'll just say that you will probably like this game if u buy it, so if you are a fan of auto games and the sort, be sure not to miss this one if you haven't played it already!

This is a great computer game! The cars are cool, and the citys that you can drive in are even better. The citys are Miami, San Francisco, Los Angelas, and New York. I still haven't beaten the undercover missions, which is where you can choose which mission to do, and then try to beat it. What's really fun is some of the car chases that you have with the police. There is even a place where you can see the chases in different angles! Not only can you do missions but there are some seperate little games like "Survival" and "Pursuit" which are all really fun. I think that parents that are looking for a computer game to buy for their kids this is the one! I recomend that the ages be between 12 years and up. The graphics aren't the best, but the game makes up for it. Also, in case some of you are wondering, this game does work for Windows XP. Hope this helped!kidcritic

I recently bought this game to see how fun it would be, and boy I was not disappointed. This is one of the best racing games that I have ever played. Even though I pretty much play the games and Take A Drive most of the time, it is still a great game. The landmarks are detailed wonderfully and they even have a Shell gas station with gas prices. If you are annoyed by the police coming after you every time you hit a car, and wrecking you after about 30 seconds, I recommend that you use the cheats of Immunity to turn off the cops coming after you, and Invincible to turn off your damage meter. Be warned that if you just turn on invincibility and you don't turn off the cops, you will be wanted by the cops right when you start the game. Driver even has a film director where you can look at a replay of your game from a lot of cameras. I like a lot of the cars but I do not like the fast cars cheat because about 10 seconds into the game with that on, your car turns over and it's Game Over. If you like you racing games, I strongly recommend that you buy this one.
