Did anyone notice a strong smell, similar to gasoline when they opened the new box?

I do not own this knife yet but I have smelled it in a lot of packages I've gotten, including kitchen items, just within the last year or two. I'm not turned off by it, in this covid-19 age everything has to be heavily disinfected and I know some places are requiring it. Just wash it first real well and you'll be fine.
