Excellent product, very good quality. The throw is made of a very soft material and is very warm in it self. The heating element is effective and I have used it everyday since purchasing.

As a long time owner of an electric blanket, I swear by them and have converted many owners who wouldn’t be with theirs now. This heated throw is ideal for my cosy loveseat and foot rest in my bay window, as I loose myself in a book or box set. I’ve been contemplating making the purchase, but made it after my devoted hot water bottle finally left me after I found a hole in it. The material of this throw is luxurious and so soft to touch. With the easily operating remote thermostatic control to hand. There are 6 heat settings and the option of 3 different timing settings to choose from (1/3/9 hours with a handy temperature table guide on the reverse of the remote control). I usually set it to the highest setting which is 6 and set the timer for 3 hours. Now at first I was deeply disappointed as when you first put the throw on and it fires up, it gets really quite nice and warm. After about 20 minutes it gets what I felt was Luke warm. I contemplated returning it but soon discovered that perhaps I was comparing apples and pears, by comparing it to my electric blanket on my bed which goes up to heating setting 9 which is really toasty hot. I’ve now been using it for the past few weeks now and have adjusted to it. I find that to lock in the heat a little bit more, I’ve taken to throwing a light blanket on top (I know I know, and totally agree that it kind of defeats the object!!!). But it works for me. Pros Good value for money No need to keep topping up water bottles Can be set up to 9 hours on a timer, if you want to use it to sleep over night. Cons It could do with perhaps another higher temperature setting, at least 1 more. The lower temperature settings are slightly redundant as I only noticed any real heat at 5 & 6. Overall it’s a good but and well worth the money!!

I PURCHASED 2 OF THESE 2 OR 3 YEARS AGO AND THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE ANOTHER. UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THEIR PREVIOUS QUALITY. I OPENED THE ZIPPED PACKAGING KNOWING THEY HAVE A LABEL ATTACHED SAYING IF THIS IS CUT OFF IT CANNOT BE RETURNED UNLESS FAULTY. HOW YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE WITHOUT OPENING!! THE MATERIAL IS MUCH THINNER SO MUCH SO THE WIRES ARE SO OBVIOUS AND THE THROW IS VERY STIFF AND DOESNT EVEN HAVE A STITCHED BORDER AS BEFORE. I HAVE TO SAY THE TWO I HAVE ARE LOVELY AND I AM SO DISAPOINTED AS I WAS SO LOOKING FORWARD TO ANOTHER I EVEN GIFTED ONE OF MINE TO A FRIEND.

My mum had received one of these for a Christmas gift. I was also offered one but declined because I didn’t think I would use it. How wrong I was! After trying it once I was on Amazon straight away. The heated blanket is like slipping into a warm bath. I am a naturally cold person and most nights I cannot wait to get under my blanket in front of the telly. It’s such a joy. The heat settings are good with a range from 1 to 6. 6 is too hot, 3 or a 4 being optimum. Obviously the parts of the blanket with the heating element get the hottest, but it seems fairly well distributed and so hot spots can be avoided in the main. There is a timer function with auto shut off so you can choose between an hour, 3 hours or 9 hours. The feel of the blanket is a lightweight and soft fleece. It can be washed in the machine if you unplug the control and is not too bulky to put through a washing machine at home. I believe that there is a more expensive blanket with a ribbed design which is a little more bulky but I am happy with this one. As soon as I get this out the dog jumps up on the sofa in readiness. He knows what’s good. I believe that this doesn’t consume much energy and so can be a God send in homes without much heating, or for the elderly or ill who feel the cold. I’ve had it a good long while now with no issues. It seems safe although I always unplug when done. Recommend to all.
