ColorStay Satin Ink Lipstick, 001 Your Go-To, 0.17 fl oz

No more need to spend so much money on lipstick. This Revlon color stay satin is amazing. The color is awesome and stays on your lips. I was spending so much money on lipsticks but then I saw my daughter putting the Revlon on and I tried it and I said "what the heck, this is so nice and it's so inexpensive.". I highly recommend it.

I got the Revlon colorstay satin ink in color 038 Citrine Queen. It went on very smoothly. It felt creamy and enjoyable on the lips. Covers nicely. The color went on kind of brown but turned lighter. I think the longevity is good. But as you can see in my pic taken later after a coffee and orange juice, my inner lower lip is empty. This is a problem for me with all lipsticks so don’t judge by that. I have a very narrow bottom lip. There was transfer to my coffee cup and water bottle. I did not eat anything. I have color 032 lady topaz also. Very pretty. I did order the red twice and had to send it back. It was so thick and chunky you could not apply it. But I love red! These 2 are not like that! Give it a try!

Update: I bumped the rating up from 3 to 4 stars because this lipstick grew on me and I end up using it a lot. Like mentioned it is easy and not fussy to throw on, that’s what makes me gravitate towards wearing it often. The finish of the lipstick also grew on me (I was used to super matte dry finish) and now I don’t really mind it as much. I would recommend! I ended up getting multiple more colors, my favorite is “your go to” which is a beautiful medium neutral nude! I would recommend this to busy ladies and moms on the go! First off I was sent the WRONG COLOR. So annoying. I was sent the color “speak up” which is a medium pink color. The name satin ink is a little deceptive. This is like a long wear gloss stain. The swatches pictured are of the color freshly applied and then worn off. The finish is definitely tacky, which is annoying. On the plus side it’s very comfortable and not drying and lasts for a long time. It’s definitely NOT transfer proof. It will come off on whatever cups, straws, whatever you put your mouth on. I will probably try another color (the color I originally ordered) because I like that the formula lasts for a long time and is not drying on my lips. I ended up keeping the incorrect color they sent me because the pink color is nice and different than what I normally wear. The formula reminds me a bit of a high end YSL gloss stain I’ve tried before. L’Oréal also has a similar product to this I’ve tried. I have a love hate relationship with this product. It has pros and cons. I normally wear matte liquid lipsticks but I will be using this product for days my lips are dry and I haven’t exfoliated them. The application is pretty easy to do, even while in the go. I normally use a lip liner with matte liquid lipsticks, but I didn’t need one with this. The wand is a nice size and shape. This is a nice product to grab and run out the door on the go because it doesn’t require a lot of fooling with. I often times grab this and throw it in my bag when I’m running to the store so I can throw it on in the car. It’s always a plus to have a lip product like that when you have kids because sometimes us moms are busy lol! If I could give it 3.5 stars I probably would, only because the finish is tacky and I don’t feel it has a satin finish like advertised.

To be honest, I prefer Revlon’s Color Stay overtime lipsticks. This felt greasy and sticky like I applied a heavy oil on my lips. Revlon Over Time Lip Color is a liquid lip color with a separate gloss attached (never use the gloss as it seems too sticky). It seems to be a lip stain and stays on for most of the day.

This shade is so pretty on olive skin tones. I can wear only the lipstick as you see in my photo and no other makeup and still look put together. The formula does feel slightly sticky, but it lasts a very long time. Most of this variety of lip product breaks down when eating foods, but this one holds up well. As it does start to wear off, it becomes more of a lip liner/ombré look which most will still find flattering. It can be a little drying but not enough that I would steer away from it.

This lipstick was disappointing. The lipstick never dried; it stayed wet and messy for hours rubbing off on napkins, etc. I could not return it. The color was acceptable.

This is a nice shade of lipstick, goes on smooth and stays really well.

I hated the color when I first put it on. I was so disappointed because it looked nothing like the color on the website. My lips looked like a ghoulish gray. On the plus side, it was moist and didn’t dry out my lips. Plus, it stays on. However, the color that was a pale ghostly whitish-muddy mauve started to change and to my surprise in 60 seconds it turned into a deeper mauve that wasn’t too bad. When it gets too gray-mauve I put a tinted pink gloss over the top. So before you send it back do a little experimenting with it. I think it changed with your own chemistry.

This lipstick stays on all day it's just perfect. I would recommend this lipstick and want to buy more

A little darker pigment than I was expecting, however it was cute. I do like how it looks, it doesn’t clash with my skin tone. The application was smooth, & limited transfer. The only thing I didn’t like was my lips were a little cracked so it did make some spots darker when it dried. Not the products fault, it’s winter right now the air is dry.

I have the red one. It’s is RED. stays on. Not transparent. It’s wow.

El mejor labial, su textura, no se cuartea, no hace grumos, no es pegajoso, larga duración, más no es indeleble, algo que no me importa por su textura se vé bien, odio tener los labios secos y agrietados, este labial no reseca, el color es un rojo naranja vibrante, muy difícil de conseguir en otras marcas en México, Revlon si lo consiguió y si lo distribuye en este país.
