The Rising Of The Shield Hero Volume 01: Light Novel

First thing to say, I'm not a native english speaker. Said that, I can do my review of the novel. The novel is not difficult to read, I found it really easy and fluent. I found something that was not really clear, like in the first dialogues you can't really say who was talking because it wasn't written, but it lasts only for the first few chapters. I didn't found it a real problem for the comprehensibility, and you just can guess who was talking when you catch a glimpse of each character. The story is really enjoiable, and I really loved how the Heroes are depicted. I felt symphaty for Naofumi, but I can still question some of his actions. Oh, well, I like him better like this, because he's really human and not flawless. In this first book, you can read a lot of Naofumi's doing, but not much of other three heroes (there is an extra chapter about Motoyasu though, and I was happy because I understood him better), so you just end up disliking them; but I think it's not the end of the story, and I hope in a good charachter development for them too in the next books. Long story short, I would really recommend this novel if you are searching for some alternative-world stuff, but you are feed up with the cliches and you want something different from usual. I'm giving five stars because I liked the story, can't wait to buy the other volumes. I forgot to mention that inside there are a lot of really good illustrations: really, they are beautiful, I was surprised at the quality of the artwork. Amazon packed the book well, and I like the consistence of the pages that are thick enough (for the price, I wasn't expecting something so well done, comparing it at the average price of the other novels). In the end, I'm happy of my purchase.

Its fast as and its good?

j'adore ce manga, ça m'a même donné envie de regarder l'animé qui est addictif aussi un ado aspiré dans un livre, qui se retrouve à devoir sauver le monde avec d'autres héros parachutés là, mais lui n'a qu'un bouclier. la honte ! le début d'une formidable épopée

I got this thinking it was a manga. I know, I know I didn't research properly. I read the manga online and loved it, and didn't know it had a novel counter part. Still it was has good as the manga. A bit sad that my little sister can't read it, she needs pictures to understand some of the words; but worth the buy. If/when the manga comes out I pick that up too, then my sister can enjoy it has well. The story itself was a fresh take on the classic get suck into a video game fantasy style type of world. If you like that genre, you must try this, it really is that good.
