How is this 300 sq ft? The images don't make sense.

This container does not say 300 running feet BUT 300 sq. ft. which is measured overall.

Are these biodegradable? I am wondering about the environmental impact of these, compared to plastic wrap.

Hi there! Like other plastic wraps, GLAD Press 'n Seal is not recyclable, or biodegradable. In general, plastic wraps are not recyclable. However, because you don't have to use as much GLAD Press 'n Seal wrap to create a seal, there should be less impact on the environment.-Glad Consumer Services

yes, from what I understand by reading the boxes it is 4 boxes at 300 feet per box. It's a lot of plastic wrap.

Is this safe to poach eggs in

Not sure. However, one side of the Press n Seal is like a weak scotch tape, and I only used it to protect the food container from getting food liquid on, not touching the actual food. General rule for me is no plastic should be used in boiling water.
