Arches Bloc aquarelle grain satin 20 x 20 cm 300 g 20 pages Naturel Blanc
J'ai reçu ce papier bien protégé et en parfait état. Très beau papier sans acide que je vais pouvoir tester avec des procédés photographiques alternatifs.

Beware of smushed corners
The paper is amazing. Best on the market. Or at least 99/100. Maybe there is one better in the world. The only issue is the shipping. Mine came with the corners a teeny bit banged up from the paper sliding around in the box. And the plastic around the paper was sliced open. For practice it’s ok. If you’re buying to sell your work, you should beware of this.

Why I only use Archers Watercolour Paper.
Without doubt, Archers is the industry standard in watercolour paper. Since 1492 they have been making paper and have perfected the technique. I have had numerous teachers, but the best of them said to me "practice on the paper you plan to paint on" and then he said, "you will only paint on Archers!" And so my life long journey of painting on Archers began. I have since added another paper to my work and that is Winsor & Newton watercolour paper. I prefer Archers, but I love Winsor & Newton as a great number two. It is hard to learn how to paint on Archers but it makes you a better painter. Lastly yes it is expensive, yes I use it for everything even exercises, stop complaining about the price, if you are serious, use Archers. It taught me to be a better painter and for that I am grateful.

Doesn't buckle as much as some papers
Although expensive for such a small pad, I thought I'd give it a go, I did find it to be very good takes water colour well, dip pen and ink also good and it should be for the price, I would like to buy the large pads that they have, but that is just to expensive over a £100 for 20 sweets. Maybe one day all in all very good paper. Just to much money

Top of the line in watercolor paper
Not much NOT to love about this paper. For me, it’s top of the line. The texture of the hot pressed is very fine, which is my preference, as I like to do mixed media and use pen, marker, pencils etc etc in my artwork, and the fine texture allows me to do that with good results as opposed to the cold pressed - which is nice too, but for just plain watercolor. I have both, but prefer the hot pressed. It seems like I used to remember the price point being much higher than the others, which isn’t so much the case anymore. If you’re a serious artist, it’s pretty much a prerequisite that you have this paper in your stash. Arches has little buckling or warping (which sets it apart), and paint reacts well with the paper, allowing lots of different effects - blending, granulating, gradient washes, whatever. It’s a great paper. Zero complaints.
