Just to make it clear from the start I'm certainly not an expert on the tin whistle I've only been playing a few weeks, but already have the bug and I am driving my family crazy playing every chance I get.When choosing my first whistle I like most people do, read reviews of all the cheaper whistles on Amazon and was put off Generation whistles by a lot of the mixed reviews they seem to get. I opted for a waltons and I must say I can't fault it. Christmas came and a family member gave me an Amazon gift card.Great I thought lets get some more whistles I bought a Waltons C and a Generation Bb. When I played the Generation Bb I loved it and decided to ignore the mixed reviews and go for a Generation D. I saw the Boho paisley green and had to have one.When I opened up the package and saw it in the box my first impression was how stunning this whistle looks, the on-line pictures don't really do this whistle justice, but what will it sound like? I played a verse of Spancil Hill (one of my favourite tunes) and heard that classic Generation sound, easily slipping into the top octave without the harsh sound many reviewers have talked about, my wife even remarked how nice it was! Strait away I was so glad I went for this whistle.The bottom line is if you are a whistle player you need to get this whistle.

I love it! Much warmer and cleaner sound than the nickel Generation I've got and the colours are beautiful. Glad I ignored the other review saying this was shrill, it's not at all. Wish more tin whistles came in such nice patterns. I absolutely love this whistle and can recommend Generation if you like a slightly smaller whistle with closer together finger holes.

The whistle arrived early and looks and sounds great.
