Good value! Where the drain pipe joins and bolt goes through it would be best to put sealer around pipe it will leak when oil goes past. Other then that great product!

This is a great addition to my home shop! I find it convenient and compact for a unit worth its price. It was easy to assemble and smooth to move around with swivel wheels. However, if you plan on servicing transmissions, I recommend getting a wider catch attachment as an accessory. Overall it does what its design to do...Catch oil.

Got the Oil Drain. Packaging was fine. You get the funnel, the base with casters already attached, a band clamp around the filler neck, 2 metal tubes and a small bag of hardware. I was a little uncertain which way to orient the metal tubes. One is swagged to fit into another and the way the holes are in each tube I assumed I had to bolt them together using the supplied bolt, washer and nut. This will put the bolt directly in the path of the draining oil but I guess that is intended. Next the funnel fits in one end of the tube assembly with 2 small holes in the end (of the tube). Apparently you use 2 self threading screws through the tube and either against the funnel or into the sides of the funnel neck. There are no marks or dimples. The band clamp around the filler neck was down close to the container and I tightened the bejeebus out of it and barely put pressure on the tube assembly. After this I noticed the container neck was slotted and if I loosened the clamp and repositioned it near the top of the neck, tightening it would squeeze the slots together and hold the tube assembly at the desired height. I guess this is also the method for changing height. The filler cap looks pretty cheap and the handle is a joke. It's a lump on top of the container without even a depression for the fingers. All in all, this appears to be an OK first lift-height oil drain pan, but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up upgrading at a later date but most likely not another John Dow product.

I have used the oil drain once and it worked very well. It would be nice if it had some type of handle on the tank.

I had a lift installed in my garage and I needed something for oil changes. This was an economical solution that works really well. I haven't filled it to capacity but I've put several oil changes through it with no issues. The drain spigot and the molded in handles worked well for pouring into the my transport containers.

It works but not having the adjustment on in makes if kind of a pain sometimes but it does work leaks alittle with high volume of fluid but for someone just starting out it will work

Could it be more stable? Sure. Is it stable enough? Absolutely. Most importantly, does it get the job done? Yes, easily

Nothing fits correctly and it’s just garbage one of the wheels on mine was messed up everything doesn’t fit right

We use this for personal oil changes and is perfect for the job, holds enough waste oil for at least 3 oil changes

18" pan works great for all fluid changes which is great for transmission pan removal changes. Caster wheels work excellent for moving the tank.

It’s ideal for home use wheels are smaller then advertised it’s not heavy duty at all but I like it

The item arrived broken, the packaging was damaged. The item is fragile... even the packaging had stickers that said the same. This item is designed to be used in a shop, not a place know to have fragile things. I can’t recommend this product for its only intended purpose.
