just received and tried out this french press..it's heavy not dainty like glass presses.the lid/plunger assembly feels and looks very durable, it doesn't flop around like other presses.it does take a little xtra force to plunge the filter down,but that reflects a tight fit,and less sediment passing thru.easy to take apart and clean each piece.easy to re-assemble.i read many many reviews before purchasing this press. there were many small complaints, and few dislikes.mine holds 5 real cups of water to where the pour spout meets the tank inside..i fill mine to within 1/4 to 1/2 inch of this to avoid liquid from coming out of the pour spout as you plunge. and use a steady slow plunge...what's the hurry anyways?no issues with the pour spout dripping, as some people complain about.no issues with a metallic taste.. just wash all parts with dish soap and hot water prior to first use.yes it makes a scratching sound as you plunge, but the filter assembly fits tight, i found NO metal scrapings in coffee or in the grounds.retained heat for about 1.5 hrs, warm enough to drink..you can always reheat a cup of coffee in the microwave people, or get a thermal caraf.handle fit well in hand when pouring.i used course ground coffee that i grind, yes, i had some sediment in the bottom of my cup, but to me, that's part of drinking fine coffees and teas..ever find sediment in instant coffees or teas? i have yet not to find some sediment in ANY french press coffee, no matter where it was purchased.coffee had a clean fresh flavor each time, whether it was blue mountain, ethiopian sidamo,guatemala geisha, or my standard dark roast community coffee.overall i am impressed with this item. so far so good. looks good on the counter top and feels to be well built. i'm happy i bought this press.

This is an amazing French Press!! I bought this for my husband to use when we are on our sail boat. The stainless steel is great for anyone who has a boat or lives in an area with salt in the air from the ocean because it doesn't rust. It is easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee that stays hot for a long time. He gets about 4 cups (8 ozish) of coffee from each brew. It is a breeze to wash up. It is very durable and looks as good today as the day we bought it. This is very important to us because things can get bounced around a lot when the water conditions are bad. There is nothing better than being anchored in a remote bay, sitting back enjoying the morning sun and drinking a fantastic cup of coffee brewed in this amazing french press!

Have not used yet but quality is so great that it looks like a 1980s stainless product. Finishing end to end is super quality.Adding this bit after using, it’s a perfect French press. It keeps coffee hot for over an hour, and filters perfectly, the press is slightly hard than plastic ones because it’s stainless. Highly recommended than any other steel cafetière in the market

Die Presse ist leider ziemlich teuer, allerdings trotzdem preiswert. Die Kanne an sich ist bei normaler Benutzung unzerstörbar und für den Rest, vor allem die Siebe, gibt es Ersatzteile. Werde sie daher wohl bis an mein Lebensende verwenden.Alles ist restlos aus Edelstahl, d.h. bei 70°C in die Spülmaschine damit und fertig. Das Sieb bzw. der Stempel sitzt passgenau, der resultierende Geschmack ist gut. Die Isolationswirkung ist, dafür dass es sich rein um Stahl mit einer Öffnung handelt, hervorragend. Habe meinen frischen Kaffee mal 2h lang vergessen und er war danach immer noch sehr angenehm warm bis heiss und trinkbar.
