They're basic adapters, like any other 'brand' they are mass produced and re-branded or distributed. Most importantly, they work. As for the low ratings? Total bummer, but a small rate of failure is expected with anything mass produced (as opposed to hand made and carefully crafted items by artisans, which these are definitely not). With every mass produced item there is an expected small percentage which will not perform ideally or will fail. It happens, move on and get another. They're fairly cheap/affordable and if you figure out what you're paying for vs. how long it will last (I have other adapters which have lasted more than 20 years now), these are a remarkable deal.

Exactly what I needed to replace 75W Halogen bulbs. Working great, after a week, with 75W and 60W equivalent LED (A19) bulbs. I've installed eight in sconces with no fit, heat, or quality problems mentioned by others. They add 2 inches to the installed bulb length. I also bought the E11-to-E12 adaptor from Electop. Five of those installed in sconces for a week, all working fine with no problems. Only add 5/8ths inch to installed bulb length. Very good service, delivered a couple of days after ordering. I couldn't find these adaptors at the local big box hardware stores or local lighting supply stores.

They do what they are supposed to do. I have seen where other buyers have said they failed, but I haven't had any problems with that yet. So we will see. So far so good.

Four worked fine but the 5th one appears to be defective as there's no tip on the end and it doesn't function.

Bought a ceiling fan that has E11 halogen bulbs. I bought short 60-watt equivalent LEDs to replace the halogens. Had to find short bulbs because these do add about and inch to the light bulb.

I love it. This fitting allowed me to use a 9 watt LED bulb instead of a 75 watt halogen inside of my solar tube. Same amount of light, saving money.The fitting adds 2 1/4 inches in length, before you screw in your new bulb. Nice white color, could be painted I suppose.

They all worked for me but based on reviews, I did not crank them too tightly. I took away a star for the flimsy cobstruction. Took away another star as they are not listed by any accredited testing agency.
