PetSafeSmart Feed Automatic Dog and Cat Feeder - Smartphone - Wi-Fi Enabled for iPhone and Android Smartphones

Do not buy this product if you have a curious cat/s. The problems are:1. The top of the machine has a transparent lid, which means that your cat/s are going to be able to see all their delicious food waiting for them. Not a good idea as this sparks curiosity.2. Within 1 week, one of our felines had figured out that the machine dispenses food it he pushes on the LED button located on top of the machine. Bingo!3. The catch to open the lid is relatively simple for a cat to figure out. They will struggle at first given that they need to be on the ground and reach up with their paw to release and pull up the cover. But they'll get there and then it's party time!In short, PetSafe failed to ensure that their design was tamper proof and under-estimated the intelligence of cats.On a positive note, the machine immediately connected to our WiFi, the app is easy to use and works well, and it dispenses the food as stated.Lastly, we have 3 cats and PetSafe only offer a 2-way splitter. This means that we have to use miniature bowls or increase the height of the machine. Hopefully they will remedy this.

The old version of the petsafe feeder lasted us abput 7-8 years before the motor gave out and we have their water fountains, it's a solid brand. We were deciding between getting another old model or spending more for the newer version which we ultimately decided on taking the chance that more tech meant more problems.So far its been great.with no issues. It's internet connected so the clock is always up to date. The other model would slowly lose time requiring clock resets every few months. It notifies us of feedings, errors and food levels. The app makes programming it super easy and we can change it on the fly if the vet recommends a change. Older version is a lot of button clicks. The splitter for our two cats works perfectly. Its nicer and more solidly built than the older one and the lid latched better so the cats can't pry it off.All in all a win. Will update long term if the more tech heavy model ends up being more trouble than the good old "dumb" but amazingly sturdy over time version.

Works well with our PetSafe feeder for our dog. Previously we were going through a lot of batteries. We still keep batteries in the feeder as back up in case the power goes off or it becomes unplugged

Llevo usando el alimentador un año y mi experiencia ha sido magnífica. Se conecta con facilidad al WiFi y a la app del celular. Me avisa cuando está bajo de alimento o si está por terminarse. La puedes programar por horarios y cantidades necesarias y lo despacha fielmente a lo que se programa. Puedo salir de viaje con la seguridad de que mis gatos reciben su alimento. Para mí es un 10

Portion size is quite equal. Easy to use and install.

This works as intended. A bit expensive for what it is, but I would buy it again. I did get one for my parents.Right now, I only have one cat, but I use this to dispense an even smaller amount than the machine can provide. So, half goes into her bowl and the other half into a closed container.
