Old spice Fiji hair pomade was a good price point. It smells great and the pomade has a great hold to it. A bit more hold than I was looking for but I knew it was a pomade versus a conditioning cream. Would buy again if I want more pomade.

My goal was to find a replacement for the American Crew Pomade that I've used for years, as the price has kept creeping up. If you're looking for the same, look elsewhere. First and foremost, on the plus side, this product is a great deal. The price is lower and you need to use a lot less each day, so it lasts longer. But what I've found after using it for several weeks is that I have to make a choice. I can use a little less and my hair doesn't get crunchy and it washes out easily, but the hold is not enough, and I have all these little stray hairs sticking up. Or I can use a little more, get adequate hold, but then my hair feels hard to the touch and it takes two shampooing to get it all out the next morning. I'll live with it for this batch, but I'll continue my quest for an American Crew replacement after that.

This one has one of the best hair holds, it's my go to pomade.
