Should have purchased this earlier
I've had a few iPads since they came out years ago, and I've never felt the need to purchase a screen protector; but, the iPad 10.5 Pro that I had ended up with a few minor scratches, and my iPad 11 Pro has a very minor hail-like scratch on it - weird part is that Apple brags so much about the screen not being easy to scratch. Anyways, after reading so much, and watching so many YouTube videos, of these paper-like screen protectors I finally decided to give one a try. Since my iPad isn't new out of the box, I had to clean the screen prior to installing this screen protector - they provide everything you need, a wet cleaning wipe, microfiber cloth, stickers to remove any dust from the screen, and even stickers to help you align the screen protector; so that's awesome!! What I did do prior to using the cleaning materials included in the box, I wiped the screen down with hot/moist paper towels 2-3 times - I found that helped remove some of the finger grease; then used the included cleaning goodies. The cleaning took a good 10-15 minutes to ensure it was perfect, and make sure you're not in a dusty workshop or anything like that either - while installing, hide from your cats/dogs if you have any. Aligning the screen protector was another challenge; luckily, if you don't press it on while installing, it is easy to lift up the screen protector and re-apply it; just don't fully install it, either start on a corner to align the top/side (easier to start from the top because if the cam cut out), or start from the top or side, and slowly start removing the sticker sheet as you apply some pressure (but not much in case you need to re-align). Once the screen protector is on, use the provided squidgy card from the inside - out, until no air bubbles are left. ...I had zero air bubbles; but, guess if you have a small amount they'll probably go away after a couple of days or you might be able to use a hair dryer to remove the air bubbles (I didn't have to; and that's just my suggestion based on applying phone skins or screen protectors). Once air bubbles are mostly gone, remove the last film on top of the screen protector, and you're good to go!! ...a headache to install; but, I'm happy with how it came out.First thing I did was open OneNote and tried taking notes with the Apple Pencil - really wanted to see what the whole Internet was talking about. ...I wasn't super impressed; feels better than writing on the iPad screen, yes; but, not as good as writing on paper. With that said, I still think it was worth installing. The small hair-like scratch on the screen was no longer visible, so happy about that (I'm highly bothered by scratches on my tech, even though others claim they can't see it). What I wasn't super thrilled about was that the colors weren't as bright any more, and that's something I was expecting; however, within a day or so of use my eyes adapted and I love it now - easier to read the screen, and much less glare so sitting under a light no longer annoys me as much. The screen protector covers the screen from edge to edge; but, there's small millimeter gaps between it and the iPad's aluminum frame; so, most cases should be ok to use without having to worry that it'll cause the protector to come off. I use the Apple keyboard case; which doesn't even protect the edges, so no problem there, and a clear/silicon case that I use when walking around in areas where I'll mainly be writing vs typing, and although it protects the edges and has a small lip to protect the tablet from falls, there's no issues with worrying that the screen protector will come off.Anyways, I am happy with the purchase even though it doesn't, 100&%, feel like writing in a notebook. Also learned a lesson - next time I upgrade the iPad; it's not going to be used until the screen protector arrives so I can apply right away without the cleaning effort and before scratches start appearing. ...and will try to stick to this manufacturer (Arxon) since they make a good product. Arxon - make sure you have the screen protector for the 2020 5G iPad Pro on release day and shipped via Prime!!

So far so good
The feeling of writing was nice...more slippery than paper but more grainy than the glass.I was worried because some of the reviews said that the thing was like writing on sandpaper. I did not find this to be the case...perhaps they change the texture?I use this in my airplane and the mat texture will help with glare. Also, I don't think this will cause a great deal of wear on the pencil...because the surface is not that rough. Some reviewers also mentioned that writing on the protector caused the writing to be visibly scratched onto the screen. I did not find this to be the case with normal to hard pressure. The crispness of the image may degrade minutely...there is no way to get around this with a mat surface...just physics. For me, it was not noticeable...but my eyes are not what they used to be.The installation is the main issue since the included instructions do not use the included blue guiding tapes...thus causing confusion. Luckily, I installed one of these before...I am sure you can find a video on YouTube on using the guide tapes...but the steps are:0) clean everything using the alcohol pad and cloth, turn on the shower on hot to reduce chances of static electricity making dust cling to the surfaces1) place the protector (with both protective film still on) on the iPad making sure that the cutout is over the cameras...."side 1" should face the iPad screen.2) put the 3 narrow blue tapes on the long side edge (half on the protector and half on the iPad) so that they form "hinges" with respect to the iPad.3) put the round blue tape one the opposite edge (from the hinges) so that you can use it to hold the screen protector while you put it on.4) hinge up the screen protector (using the round blue tape that you put on in step 3) and peel side 1 completely off.5) slowly lower the screen protector from the hinge side first moving toward the other side...don't worry about bubbles at this point.6) bubbles are ok since you can push them out toward the edges using the provided stiff card.7) remove side 2.I was able to put it on perfectly positioned and without any bubbles using the technique. The other issue is that it comes with a free camera lens protector but it was the wrong size for the iPad Pro.So far, a good product...why mess it up with the wrong instruction and by including wrong lens protector freebie? Are you listening, manufacturer?

No major problems, great for writing and fingerprint reduction
So, first and foremost, I purchased this with my own money and wasn’t paid or somehow reimbursed, and like you, I was a little iffy on buying an expensive screen protector that might make my screen grainy and trap dust under the screen. It was hard to install and the instructions weren’t very complete, but I was very pleased to find it does make writing much more enjoyable, I don’t find the screen grainy at all, and touch responsiveness hasn’t diminished. I use my iPad to view photos, read ebooks take notes at work, and to watch media while I travel and none of those activities have diminished after installing the protector.Specific criticisms: The instructions, while simple, are not clear. The device came with several blue stickers for (presumably) lining up the protector and/or removing dust particles, yet no instructions on how to use them. Basically, the instructions say to peel the protective sticker back, line it up, and squeegee it down. I got three particles of dust under the protector and I can’t stop looking at them, though pressing the air out with the Apple Pencil around the dust does minimize their appearance.Observations: Neither positive or negative, the screen will be a distinct matte finish when you are done. It is most noticeable when looking at a white background, though it does not “rainbow” or look “grainy”, it simply looses the glossy look. In my opinion, it looks worse than when the glossy screen is pristine, but looks far better when you’re actually using it. The texture feels really good to me when using gestures and my fingers to manipulate the screen, but if you think the texture would irritate you, I recommend finding another screen protector.I found I lost no touch sensitivity after the install, even using very subtle touches. I installed the device with a friend who helped lay the plastic down while I squeezed out the air bubbles with the included squeegee. Writing feels fantastic and I did not get any lasting intentions on the plastic, even after taking several pages of written notes.

Great Product! - Although a bit confusing to install
Just got this last night and applied this morning. While the instructions seem very clear on the box and inside, they throw in a few alignment stickers but never tell you what to do with them. I think I was able to apply this well because over the years I have installed a few on my cell phones. I think it is a bit confusing if you have never done it before. Not sure if there is a video on how to do it, but worth watching I would think if you have never done this before. They also sent a surprise, a cover for the camera on the back of the iPad however, it is NOT for the iPad pro 11 where the camera sits on the far side of the back not in the center. So the cover they sent is for a camera in the middle of the back of an iPad. Installation as mentioned was a bit confusing, however, I did get it on and had a few air bubbles which I was able to work out easily with the provided soft cloth, the hard card wasn’t actually that much help. Once this was installed I was very happy to see how it actually works which is to make the screen like paper! Awesome! I immediately went into one of my writing apps and was thrilled with how this works! It really feels like paper now to write on the iPad which is terrific. I was concerned that the experience would be a little less appealing when doing normal other touchscreen things, however, it’s great. And I love that I no longer have to worry about glare and about finger prints. I highly recommend this product if you can get it on properly. Perhaps they can send a link to a video for installation to help make it a bit easier and send an explanation of what the alignment stickers are and the bigger tear dropped shaped sticker. In any case, I do recommend this as it does exactly what it says it is for - making your iPad Pro 11 screen paper-like!

Say goodbye to a responsive touch screen | Update: The responsiveness has gotten better +1 star
For the price I was expecting there to be better instructions and a 2nd film in case the first gets messed up. I’ve put screen protectors on iPads before sometimes you win, sometimes the dust particles win.First, turn off you iPad. With the screen black it’s much easier to apply the screen protector. The issues I’m running into and this is 5 mins after applying the screen protector is that slide to unlock is not responding easily. As I type this my key presses aren’t being registered. Yes this feels like a matte screen protector that gives resistance to the pencil, but at the cost of turning my touch screen into a non-responsive surface.I’m not disappointed to where I would take it off, yet. But the way that I use my iPad 90% of use is the touch screen keyboard for input and I won’t tolerate an unresponsive screen.Your mileage may vary. 3 out of 5 stars.Update: The first hour of using the iPad with the screen protector was not fun, as mentioned in my review the touch response was significantly compromised. After the first day of the screen protector being on the device it started to behave much better, finger swipes were recognized, pencil strokes as well. The initial roughness of the screen protector also smoothed out well, its still good rough but not crazy rough like it was for the first few days.I do really like that the screen protectors are near 100% in not allowing fingerprint smudges, outdoor use is good too, better than w/o the screen protector. I still feel that screen protectors should come with 2x because they are difficult to get 100%, I had 2 small specs of dust on the edge of the iPad so i used a few pieces of tape to remove. 1 piece of tape was placed securely on the edge that I wanted to lift and a 2nd piece of tape to stick the dust that had adhered to the inside of the screen protector. After successfully removing both specs of dust, the screen protector lies flat and no bubbles.
