Qunol Turmeric 2250mg + Black Pepper for Enhanced Absorption, 90 Capsules

Great turmeric. Seems to absorb well and is a good price. I previously bought other brands that didn't work, but this one works well for me. I use it for inflammation reduction along with several other supplements that also reduce inflammation. Inflammation is the cause of pain, according to research. The capsules are easy to swallow. I swallow two at the same time. I appreciate the source up there ingredients.And I trust Qunol.

I started buying this because my husbands dr told him to take this for his ulcerative colitis. It’s supposed to help with inflammation so I also take it for shoulder aches and headaches. It seems to help if taken regularly. My only complaint is that the capsules are always coated with the power like one of them broke open (though I never find a broken one in the bottle so this must be happening at the factory) and so your hands get all covered with orange powder.

I’m not sure if this is as good as the gaia brand I’ve used for 5 years. I have it 4 stars because the capsule has the yellow residue and gets on my hands.

Turmeric Curcumin is one of the few supplements that I honestly believe in. It is important to get a proper dosage, and the some brands make it difficult by not normalizing to a high level of curcuminoids. Amazon will not permit me to comment on what the supplement does or if it works, so I will not do that. I like that this product is standardized to 95% curcuminoids. As I understand it, the curcuminoids are what matters. When you buy Turmeric that is not standardized to a high level of curcuminoids, you are actually getting a much lower dosage, and essentially wasting your money. Be very careful of that - many of the cheaper products will be completely ineffective. Note that the listed dosage here (2250 mg) is actually for three capsules. I only take two capsules per day, so I am only getting 1500 mg. At 95%, this is 1425 mg curcuminoids. Now for the bad part. This is a great supplement, but the mess is not worth it. The capsules are all covered, on the outside, with the fine yellow powder that is supposed to be inside. That powder stains badly. It stains your fingers, and will stain clothes and never come out. It is basically like yellow laser printer toner. I did not notice with the first one I took, and permanently ruined a pair of shorts and a hand towel. Now that I know, I handle the capsules very carefully and rinse my fingers with water immediately afterward. My fingers may still be stained yellow for the morning, but I have not ruined anything else. Even though I like the product, I will not likely buy more because of the mess. It's not worth it when I can get another brand and take them without worrying that I will ruin my clothes. They really need to keep the turmeric inside the capsules.
