Advance micro device AMD A8-7650K Black Edition A-Series APU with Radeon R7 Graphics AD765KXBJASBX

I have always used AMD processors and this APU does not disappoint. It's fast and can be overclocked (depending on mobo). Although I ran it at 40mhz with no issues, I typically overclock mine to 35mhz - 37mhz depending on what I am doing. It is a 95w processor, so it will run hotter. It typically idles at 45 °C. Transcoding HD video takes it to about 90-94 °C. It's run a bit cooler when recording (Hulu, Netflix, NBC) at 1080. It's a decent APU for the price.

1st impression since receiving it a few days ago: It's working great.I am using it now to access Amazon here. I am running it on an Ubuntu Linux system.I had to rebuild my computer. New motherboard and new processor. I won't go into why. My case is a Micro ATX case, so I wanted on-board graphics in order to ditch the graphics card. (I have limited space.) This processor has the on-board Radeon R7 graphics.I installed this into a ASRock 90-MXB100-A0UAYZ Motherboard Micro ATX motherboard. You can find the specs on it by looking up ASRock A88M-G/3.1Since I have not installed a new CPU in 15 or 20 years, I was surprised that a fan came with it. I had actually purchased a cooler for it. The accompanying fan has a thin layer of exposed thermo paste. Be careful with it.However, the information states that the warranty is voided if any cooler besides the one which comes with is substituted for the accompanying cooler.The processor does pull 95 watts, which is more than most of the normal processors. Make sure your power supply can provide the extra power.(Most of the other processors that I looked at pulled 65 watts. So this one is pulling a lot more power.)Installing it: The cpu simply drops in. Don't even try to force it. Match the marked corner of the cpu to the mark on your cpu bed, drop it in, and then secure it.However, the supplied cooler took some effort to get the tie-downs to attach.This has been my 1st impression. I like it.

AMD isn't my ideal processor, so 4 stars is as high as they'll get. It worked well enough for this application, which happened because I needed a chip to rebuild a client's computer and had a board sitting around that could use this chip, so the overall cost ended up being lower than an Intel board and chip.

With my Gigabyte RX550 2GB GDDR5 and this AMD A8-7650K, My computer has gotten alot faster and boosted my frames from 30 to 60. Very fast and cheap cpu if your on a budget!

I have had this for awhile on a pc i use all day long. I run multiple programs at once without a problem. Great investment, i am not a gamer so i can't speak for gaming. The videos run smooth with a glitch.

Processor was double labeled and a AM4 socket processor was sold as FM2+ socket processor....and guess what is still happening today and customers are mislead continuously. FM2+ socket processors are not manufactured anymore (for 3 years now?) but some people still looking for them because there are plenty of motherboards on the market and the processor itself is still a pretty good performing processor for everyday tasks.And is compatible only with older DDR3 RAMs which is much cheaper than the current DDR4 mainstream one.You just have to assign people who can recognize a processor and will label them in your system accordingly!The only good thing has happened in this transaction is the quick return process via UPS.

Budget processor

built a co worker a computer out of some parts I had. I charged him $450 and this is the only 1 of 2 parts I bought. had everything else including corsair 2133 memory. also a screaming fast SATA PNY ssd coupled with a 2T barracuda hdd. I have a ryzen 1800 with phenomenal matching stuff. his computer rocks! he will play online poker and the grandkids will play Dora! it is sooooo responsive and fast! I am a gamer, he is not, this processor is so badass for him and his family! he couldn't have done better with a box store computer!
