Nad's Original Hair Removal Wax Gel Kit

I originally used this product years ago when it was a sensation from Australia. It seemed all but forgotten. Well as I got older my legs had less hair than my chin. I was looking for a waxing agent. There it was on Amazon, Nads. The first time I used it again, it was a mess, sticky everywhere. Now after three uses I have learned to heat the container under warm water, carefully unscrew, dip the flat stick in softened Nads. It will spread more easily. I put a large amount on each side of my chin. I take a full size Nads cloth and rub it to warm each side. Then I tear it off quickly in the direction of the growth. The growth must be long enough for the product to grasp. Then I put the gooey Nad's cloth back on my chin to get any remaining problems. It works beautifully. I really like this product. It does take some getting use to. It is fully washable with either hot water or a bit of soap.

First of all...hair removal is YOUR choice as a woman/man. Society shouldn't tell you how to wear your body. I chose this because I like the way my legs and pits feel smooth. Waxing gets rid of all of those black dots in your arm pits the same evening you shave! So anyways I got this in today! I have been sooooo excited to use it since I ordered it. I have grown out my leg hair for the occasion! (I know ew...but you're looking at a waxing product). 4 important things to know that aren't necessarily in the instruction guides. 1-DO NOT HEAT IN MICROWAVE! If you want the formula thinner just float the tub in hot water. This is not provided in the directions, but a waxing professional who suggested this product to me told me that tip! 2) If you mess up and get it somewhere you don't want it to be just WASH IT OFF with hot water and a light soap. 3) You can reuse the same swatch of wax by applying to another area and rubbing to heat up and then pull. 4) THE STRIPS ARE REUSABLE!!! Soak them in hot water and work the gel/wax off the strips and let them fully dry. This is my first time using this product and I am in love! It hurts a lot less than those hard waxes or other methods I've used. The balm they provide for post wax is soooo wonderful and really helps calm the "red dots." I suggest shower first, exfoliate and let your skin dry. If you're going to use the product on your arm pits...a word to the wise, warm the wax in hot water to make it thinner before using. I hope you enjoy this way as much as I do!! WILL BE REPURCHASING!

I have used this product for years. It is a fantastic product for hair removal. I ordered 3 containers. They shipped quickly and arrived on time. BUT... When I opened the packages, all 3 boxes had been torn open. Not crushed, obviously torn from top/bottom as anyone would do when opening a new box. The first container I picked up had wax on the outside. It was all around both sides. Clearly, this container had been opened at some point and closed again, perhaps using glue or perhaps relying on the stickiness of thee wax itself. As I stated earlier, I have used this product for years. I have never had a container with wax leaking out from under the foil seal. Nads is very sticky, so the foil is sealed very tightly. This review is 100% about the warehouse sending 3 obviously opened boxes of a hygiene product to a customer. This should never happen with any skincare product. I understand wanting to minimize product loss, but any hygiene product that is returned opened should never be resent to a new customer.

This was my first experience doing sugaring on myself. I have tried wax strips before, so I’m not a complete noob. This definitely takes a lot of commitment and courage. In 50’s and 60’s spring weather, warming the gel up in the microwave was a MUST. I ordered two kits and I’m glad I did. I would not have had nearly enough product to do both legs with one. Some of this could be due to being a beginner, but honestly, I think anyone would really need more gel, and more cotton strips to get the job done in one sitting. I am tall, and have long legs, but I still feel like this kit would be a lot better with a lot more product. I had a large bowl of warm water close by to drop my cotton strips in, and I washed them out (really just rinsing them thoroughly with really hot water) several times through the process. I popped them in my dryer, and then ironed them, because they came out all curled up. I had to do this 2 times in the course of one evening, and went through 2 tubs of gel to do both legs past the knee. I had enough gel left over to do my upper thighs close to the bikini line, and my armpits. I do still have a few places where I missed some hits, but overall, once I got the hang of using this, I had a pretty good hair removal rate with each strip. I like this method, and this product. Cleanup was pretty easy when the gel got where I didn’t want it to be, because it’s basically just green sugar syrup. I just wish it came in a higher volume kit.

I've been waxing for the better part of 20 years, had to find a different wax when Sally Hansen decided to change her formula. (I'm still crying a little bit inside.) Try this wax because I've always had troubles with the stripless or hard wax. This is decent wax, it glides on smoothly, pulls hair and not skin, and it is a perk that you don't have to keep it warm or have to reheat it if it takes a while to wax. Downsides are it only removes about 70 to 80% of the hair. I had to wax then wait a few days and wax again to get the remaining hair, not exactly time effective. If you're looking to have all of your hair removed in one shot this is definitely not the product. Also my legs and bikini were very sticky after waxing.

I used it for the first time years ago and I hated it cause it was just sticky and did not remove one hair but now I know how to use it and it is super effective and mess free. I have always struggled with hot wax and all its residues but not any more YAY! To make sure it works you have to spread it really well and make a thin layer, if it is thick you would have the same result I had years ago. Then put the strip on and rub it few times to make sure it holds. Now the pull part, make sure you pull it horizontally and not vertically. Clean the residue with a wet towel and done! I used it for my legs and it is wonderful. For the bikini area I must say that it hurts more to apply it than to remove it. It is effective but way more painful than when applying for legs. The strips are washable and reusable. I love that! No more ingrowth hair, sticky residues or waiting for the wax to warm.

If you are expecting hair removal like that shown on the Nad's advertisements you will be disappointed. I will share my novice, though determined, Nad's experience and how I was able to get the best results. It is possible that my hair is thicker than most people's, but I was not able to remove ALL hair from any place on my body despite going over each area more than once. Even if an area looked smooth, it didn't feel smooth. My legs and bikini area started bleeding before I was able to remove both coarse and fine hairs. This one container wouldn't have covered legs and bikini and underarm area in one use even if I had had enough cotton strips and three hours to spend on waxing. I had the best results when I: 1) cut the provided strips in half. Working in smaller sections seemed to get more hair off on the first pass 2) heated the gel in the microwave for 15 (full container) or 10 (half-full or less) seconds, stirred and then placed in a shallow hot water bath when not spreading it. 3) worked on a couple sections at a time by spreading the gel on a section of skin, put on the cotton strip and waiting a minute before pulling it off parallel to the skin. I won't be buying Nad's again. I tried different part of the body several times until I had used up the whole container. I let my hair grown out in between trials. Overall, I say it removed about 20-80% of the hair, with effectiveness going down with each trial even though I stored it according to package instructions. Using Nad's is a great excuse if you need some time alone, not a great way to get smooth legs.

Much better than regular wax. Used it on my young daughter. Very little pain. Great product. Highly recommended.

Easy and fast way of removing hair. Use it on my legs and resulted in a smooth finish. Noticed that hair grows back slower and finer after several uses. Do a patch test if u have sensitive skin. Do use the cleansing wipes before waxing and the soothing balm after waxing.
