Q: When you unplug the original door light and you go to plug in the new one is it supposed to fit tightly into the new projector base?

For my E550 it did not fit exactly, but I put a few drops of Plumber's Goop in a couple locations as I inserted it into the base, so it holds tightly. This did not affect the bright LED projector light in any way, but now it's held in place tightly. I think my LED Door light was actually for a C-series vs. E, but with a slight modification mentioned above, it works and fits fine.
