Q: What are the different erasers used for?

Gum Eraser - the crumbs are good at collecting graphite. Good for taking off a large bit of pencil but can smear and damage the paper so you would not want to use this on thin paper. Kneaded Eraser (essential) It picks up the graphite without smearing or damaging the paper. It can be shaped into a point to lift out small highlights in the eyes and hair. It's unique in that to clean it you simply stretch it out and fold (knead) it over on itself. If I had to choose only one eraser, I'd probably pick this type. White rubber - best when used on a sturdy, smooth paper. It is slightly abrasive and unsuitable for paper that has a lot of tooth (paper that feels rough to the touch). This kind of paper has a tendency to ''fuzz up'' when erased with an abrasive type of eraser. This is the eraser I use to create highlights bc it seems to smoothly remove the graphite without leaving much of a smear.

Q: can you blend with it?

No, you would not be able to blend with either of the erasers in this set. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Q: How big are the erasers ? The gum eraser looks tiny

The gum eraser is just under an 1" cubed. The kneaded eraser is about .25"x1.25"x1.5", and the vinyl eraser is around 2.5"x.8"x.5". I hope that helps.
