Q: Can someone please tell me exactly, exactly what to do,how to do it,how long to leave it on,and what will happen if polish is left on too long?

I followed the directions exactly as stated on the bottle. Apply with a dry cloth in circular motions. When hazy (a few minutes), wipe off. I have never left it on longer than recommended, so I can't answer the last part of your question.
