Second Time Around in Buying This Lock Food Storage
This Lock & Lock container has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen storage containers. The durable plastic feels sturdy without being heavy, and the four-sided locking lid creates a tight seal that helps keep air out. The clear design makes it easy to see what's inside, and the 64-ounce capacity is perfect for storing homemade ice cream, leftovers, or other foods. It's also dishwasher safe, making cleanup simple. I actually bought this container a second time because I liked it so much. I use mine to store homemade ice cream, and it does a great job of preventing ice crystals from forming, so the ice cream stays fresh and creamy longer. If you're looking for a dependable, well-made food storage container that seals securely and performs exactly as expected, this is an excellent choice.

Perfect for frozen food you pick away at, like berries
I had a hard time picking because Lock&Lock has a million containers in the 10-cup-ish size, in slightly different shapes. I think that while this makes deciding tough, it could be very handy for someone who wants to fill their freezer with soup, baking etc, and wants to avoid the wasted space that comes from having gap along the edge or whatnot. You could "Tetris" your freezer with a few sizes & shapes of these babies and utilize every single square inch! If you have specific needs that way and find the selection here is too limited, I suggest the manufacturer's site- it is INCREDIBLE the selection they have there. This is the style that I fell in love with (we've used their 4-5c square for lunches for years & I LOVE having a seal that I can trust! Go ahead & toss one of these full of chili or soup in with your work clothes & shoes in your backpack, then bike to work- you can count on it not leaking! This is the only lunch container I've found that's so trustworthy) by which I mean it has slightly milky plastic and a flag-blue gasket, and a series of bumps that stick out for the lid to grab onto. I also tried something new in this order which is a more brittle (but allegedly much more safe chemical-wise) and clear plastic ("Bisfree") which hasn't got the bumps but has a smaller ridge all along the tub's edge for the flaps to grab. That seems a bit less secure. I don't think I would trust the Bisfree version to throw soup in my backpack. I like that it's safer, so I think I'll choose it for things like freezer storage but I'll keep using this older style of Lock&Lock for packing lunches. I am no expert but I believe even the non-bisfree is still a lot safer than some cheaper brands. The plastic seems very stable- no flex, doesn't scratch easily, no odor even brand-new. I dig the gasket out with a thin-edged spoon (works best for me if I go in at the corner) for more thorough washing. Otherwise a wee bit of liquid can get stuck in the groove around the gasket & that seems unsanitary. I didn't even notice until I stored curry one time and the bright colour of the sauce helped me see the sneaky lingering crud better. The gasket seems to be silicone, not rubber, so again, if you're concerned about unhealthy chemicals leaching into your food, this brand is pretty good. Both the traditional and the Bisfree seem thick and sturdy- not likely to crack, and able to defend your food against yucky fridge & freezer smells. I tried some cheap stuff, I think it was ziploc, and the food absorbed freezer smell after just a month of storage! This stuff- I have stored frozen food for a year with no problems! As for the funny shape of this, I love it! I freeze a bunch of spinach leaves and pull out a few each day to toss into my scrambled eggs. This only holds half a bag of spinach or maybe 3/4 of a bunch, so I guess I could have bought two. But the thing I like is that the surface of the food that is exposed to air is small in this shape of dish, whereas it was large in a typical flat dish. That means my spinach will get less freezer burn in the month or two it takes me to use it up. I recommend this container for anything like that where you will be using a frozen food up slowly. Another example is berries. The plastic bags frozen berries come in let freezer stink in eventually, and with tossing five or ten berries in a smoothie or dish of cereal every couple days, my berries linger in the freezer for months. If I transferred them to a flat dish they'd have a lot of air exposure. In this dish only the small top layer would have air exposure. So I think I'll order another three of these, one for blueberries, one for blackberries, & an extra one for spinach... maybe another one for the kale I sometimes fry with eggs too... Yes, I love this dish!

Excellent seal.
Nice quality for a reasonable price. They're even in a vacuum when you first open them. The first one I got arrived damaged due to poor packing (Amazon shipping) forced into a box with other items. A smaller object was crushed into the lid when the container was shoved into the box, cracking the lid. Obviously it was exchanged without issue. I anyway had a bunch of "cereal sized" ones for filament and have been happy with them as well. I'll likely continue to get more.

Diagram dimensions are for exterior top. Airtight for dry Foods.
A very strong food grade plastic, meant for dry foods such as flour. I did the soap/water test to find NO leaks. I was searching for interior measurements, but the dimensions on the photo are mislocated and undefined while the box is not a true rectangular storage box - the photo appearance does not show as tapered downward from the top. Top interior measurements are 7 1/8” L , 4 5/16” W, 4 1/8” D; interior bottom is 4 31/32” L, 4” W. (The diagram dimensions are at the exterior bottom shows measurements 20.5 cm L x 13.4cm W x 11.8cm D, converted to inches - 8.07” L x 5.28” W x 4.65” D. But the actual exterior top measurements including the locking points/tabs or with the lid on are not the same dimensions with the lid on, so for the pantry, 8 3/16” L x 5 1/4” W and 4 5/32” D.) I removed 1 star for the misleading non-rectangular shape and omitting full measurements. Specifically, I was looking for a solid airtight container for 8” medical masks storage.

Excellent Dry Cat Food Container
Excellent product! Use to store my cat’s dry kible food so I don’t have to open the entire bag to fill his dish everyday. I adopted him from the shelter as a special needs (FIV) cat and he needs urinary tract food and is the sweetest cat. But he has his problems. I don’t know if you ever smelled dry cat food from an open bag but yuck! Anyway these containers hold a lot of the dry food, keep it fresh, and it’s easy to pour his food out then reseal with the easy snap-on lid much easier than pouring it out of the big bag with the Velcro and crumbs all over sticking to the Velcro. Kible comes in large 10 lb bags so don’t want to handle that every day. In fact I have 3 of these tall containers for the different flavors chicken, fish, etc. He loves his dry food (as an alternative from the wet food) as it is kept fresh! Very pleased with these containers.

Large size container
I finally found a lock n lock product that holds my all thin bagels without squishing. The others are way too small and hold only 2-3 of them. The old lock n lock products were a decent size but the new stuff is tiny. This is an exception.

Snapping top could use improvement
These don't snap closed easily. The container on mine looks like the sides got squished from being in the box, so snapping isn't the easiest. A few scratches too. Hopefully works as an airtight container and after a few uses they stay snapped, but I have my doubts on this one. For the price of just one container. I'm not sure its worth it, but I needed it today, so need to use it instead of returning.

Hab vor Jahren schon ein paar gekauft. Jetzt musste das Sortiment erweitert werden. Praktisch für z.B.Nudeln. Spaghetti passen perfekt hinein.

Best container I have found
I like this brand over others. It is truly leakproof. They last really well. Some of my old ones are 10 years old and the seals are just not starting to leak. The price on Amazon is good as well.
