X-Feather Black 4.5 oz Bottled Ink with Free FP from Noodlers Ink

Bought this ink to use in my Zebra G/Jinhao “frankenpen,” since SBRE Brown recommended it for this purpose because of its viscosity. 5 stars, because it works perfectly! Very happy with the combo for sketching. Also, despite warnings I’ve seen about how the Zebra G nibs corrode over time, I’ve left this pen inked up in a drawer for 6 months. The nib dried out, but remained in perfect condition, and the pen was fine. A little fiddling, and it looks and works like new.

This ink writes well on Rhodia paper, but I don't always use paper that nice. I have compared this bottle to the picture advertised on Amazon. This is NOT X-feather Black. This has a fish on the bottle label. But they stuck an X-feather label over the original box label. The original label underneath just says black ink. The label they put on top of that says X-Feather. I will be returning this. No wonder I didn't get the pen that comes with the X-Feather. That's because this is NOT X-Feather ink. I am NOT happy.

Noodler's X-Feather is a pretty boring black ink. That having been said, it doesn't feather, and is a nice dark black. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.
