Good little hub
Very good mounting solution. It hold the plugs well too.

Compatible with Ubuntu Linux immediately.
I used this on a 1U rack server made by Supermicro, running Ubuntu Linux. It worked out-of-the-box with no extra configuration. Many will know that rack servers give you little more than 1 or 2 USB ports. This is the solution.

Careful with the screws.
Solid little hub. My only complaints would be that the screws are a bit thin while the cable is a bit thick. Had one of the screws snap and needed vice grips to remove it - even after pre-drilling the hole (guess I chose an even thinner bit). The cable may be tougher than the screws!But it is wonderful to have a hub under the lip of the desk to put a thumb drive in and it has worked like a champ.

My PC is under the desk by my thigh. I mounted this to the desk with the provided sticky tape, and I have it plugged into the back of the PC. So it effectively gives me 4 new USB 3.0 ports at no cost, and it's easy to plug in and use. I may get another one

Great for mounting under desk or anywhere additional ports are needed
Build quality is solid - no wiggle on the ports and all devices fit snugly with good connection. Quality is solid and mounting is clean and easy with just a few screws. Running this under a standing desk it looks great and works exactly as expected.

Missing Screws
Does not come with screws even though screws are shown in the product picture.

Best way to move USB 3 to the front edge of your desk.
Moved my Logitech headset and 3 free USB ports to the front edge of my desk. The screws are small but work with a wooden desk. Comes with Velcro pad for other materials. Not powered but works for low power devices just fine. Plugging an external hard drive causes it to disconnect but I'm not using it for stuff like that. Cord is just long enough to reach the back of a most desks. But to go any further you need an extension.

Inexpensive, mounted USB 3 Hub
I needed an inexpensive USB 3 hub that I could easily mount to the side of my desk with screws. This one had everything that I needed to get the job done. In addition, it includes a large strip of adhesive backed Velcro that I didn't used for this hub - I used the screw mounts. I did, however, use the included Velcro to mount a very small external HDD to the side of the desk - the Velcro seems very secure. This hub would have been even better if it came with six ports rather than four.
