I don't see what the fuss is about
I honestly don't get it. Certainly not the advantages of the dual sides, which you can barely distinguish, and only if you are lucky. And it absorbs no more, no less product than my usual Shiseido pads. Yes they are lint-free and I think a premium cotton, but all the good Asian pads are. This does not help distribute more product to my face. It's not that they are bad, but I'm just disappointed that they are not what I'd hoped they'd be. Also, I dislike the packaging, but I think that is personal taste. Having said all that, if you are comparing these to a typical American cotton ball or something like Swisspers, these are a huge step up.

Best Cotton Pads! Absorbent but don’t soak up your expensive facial products!
I was looking for a solution to the old cotton pads that absorb WAY too much product. I found that when I was putting product on regular cotton pads, a ton of product would get absorbed into the pad, and would be “wasted” because it’s so far into the pad that it doesn’t really transfer to your skin. I was definitely throwing away money in the form of wasted / unused product. So I decided to splurge after reading an article online about these pads and it has been totally worth it. Not only do the pads feel great, but because they are pressed, they’re thinner and less “absorbent” than regular pads. Which is a good thing. Basically I put on about 1/2 as much product as I used to, it gets absorbed into the bad but the pad doesn’t soak it up. The pad remains damp / wet (depending on how much you put on it) and then it’s easy to transfer the product to your face, neck, etc. and actually use most of the product you just poured out! I’ve saved so much - my products last longer because I don’t have to use as much!

Different from anything else I've used, but have their place
First time trying these. They are different from any cotton rounds I've ever used. They seem to be a compressed product, not very cotton like. More spongy x cotton. There seem thick, and have a good absorbency; but then once liquid hits they feel quite thin. It's a strange phenomenon. I'm used to a regular cotton pad that holds onto a liquid, where these don't much. I can't honestly tell if I like them a lot, or just like them. I've been using them and don't curse them or anything as I do. So they can't be that bad. I usually buy Korean cotton that can parted into two, and this is drastically different. I'll end up keeping both on hand for different situations. They do work well for getting a clean slate ready for makeup on eyes to get ready for primer and shadow, lips to get ready to for makeup and lipstick, and browns for gel, pomade or pencil.

Two different types of high quality cotton pads in one box
Have tried MANY different cotton pad products and have repurchased these twice. Note that there are two different pads in each box. One side is a stack of compressed cotton which are soft but sturdy, take up product but don’t absorb too much and are perfect for using micellar water in makeup removal. For what I’ve tried, this compressed side is my all time favorite cotton pad (versus MUJI, drugstore, etc). The other side is more of a cotton sponge- it will absorb product but deposit product on the skin as you use it, which seems better for using toner and is less effective for cleansing. I mostly use the pads to cleanse my skin so I wish they sold the pads separately as well as in this dual packaging. Take home: very good quality, nice cardboard packaging, but not the best value if not getting use out of both types of pads.

Best Cotton Rounds/Squares
This price point does make you look elsewhere, but you come back wondering why you did. These not only work for the cleanup and toners, but they become small sheet masks with your favorite essence or with Klair's moisturizing toner. have very dehydrated skin due to medicine so in my dryest areas I add my products with some "stickiness" and hydrating properties like a good toner or essence and put them where I need it most. These give me results that no other cotton square can duplicate.
