To much info you don't need, not enough info you do need...

I am a complete beginner so I'm looking for a book that would give me an understanding of the skills. This book doesn't offer anything for me to learn. The pictures are also black and white and don't offer any encouragement or excitement at all. I learn more from watching YouTube videos than from this book. I don't recommend it for beginners. The only part of this book that I get help with is the glossary for an abbreviation to read a pattern. Other than this, the book has nothing to offer.

no way a person who doesn't know already the basics of knitting would learn anything from this book. the pics are blurry and there aren't pics showing the instructions on the terms. so no way you'll learn how to do the various stitches from this book. this is pretty much false advertising saying that it's for beginners or even an adequate instruction book. a total waste of money!

This is a lovely little book for someone with no experience. It was much more basic than I needed so I gave it to a friend.
