Melissa & Doug Wooden Animal Magnets 20-Piece Set with Storage Box

I want to buy these for every kid I know. My 16 month old knows how to point out and make sounds for so many animals because of these! She learned monkey, fishy, puppy dog, kitty cat, lion, tiger, cow, pig etc. It’s a fun game for her but she’s also learning so much. I love that the whole backing to the animals is magnetic; I don’t have to worry about her swallowing a tiny magnet or anything. The only negative thing I can say about these is that after so many times of baby putting them in their mouth, the pictures will slightly wear.

I love these things although I just got them, so I can't really say as to how much they hold up I do have a clear gloss spray paint in my garage so I might end up spray painting them all just to make sure they stay on cuz I see in some reviews that it has some peeling issues I'm wondering if maybe that would solve that issue, but so far these things are amazing. I have like I guess I was blessed because I have metal doors in almost every door in my house is metal, so we can put these on any door we want to or you know the appliances or whatever you can see in my photos like she has them everywhere she's got them on almost every single door she's got them on all the appliances and she hasn't stopped playing with them for the last hour since we got them so I don't know how long they'll keep her attention but for now that's all she's doing is walking around playing with these magnets on every door in the house LOL so they're definitely mom approved to me anyways, and luckily my baby she's already starting to do ABCs and one two threes so really that's why I wanted to get magnets in the first place is to have something we can play with basically anywhere in the house that I could teach her her letters and numbers at the same time so these work really well for that but she does know like half the animals she already knows all the animals but they're still fun to play with move from door to door move from appliance to appliance she loves doing it so definitely if you have a lot of metal surfaces in your house this would be amazing for you as a mom. Cuz it will give you some time to yourself LOL and you actually have to get up and go look for your child because your child is being so quiet that you're not sure if they're getting in trouble or if they're just occupied and most of the time it's just that she's occupied LOL so yes definitely that's my review if you want something that's going to keep your child's attention for a while these are definitely it if you've got a lot of metal services in your house these are definitely it if you just need a 10 minute break quiet time to yourself these are it LOL I will probably edit in about a month or two just to show durability but I mean they're magnets what more can you possibly want from them they're just magnets like they're not cheap little foam plastic magnets that fall apart in two seconds you know these are for the most part would backing with what looks to be a picture printed on the front you know but the magnet covers the entire back of each piece so they hold up on the refrigerator pretty well.

Perfect size, great for naming the animals and making sounds as my toddler is playing with them. Also nice for independent play while I’m busy in the kitchen.

My 16 month old is really into telling us what sound certain animals make and she’s also constantly taking magnets off of our fridge so this was a no brainer for us. She absolutely loves them and gets really excited to when we ask her “where’s the duck” and she can go find it! The only reason I did not give this five stars is because I expected these to be wooden. We have a lot of Melissa and dough toys and when they say “wooden” they’re a high quality wood but these are made out of two very thin layers of what seems to be cardboard or maybe at the most pressed mdf maybe. A few of the animals are kind of bowed/curved so they do not stay on the refrigerator very well and fall off when we open the door. I’m assuming they just got a little warped in shipping possibly but other than those two little issues these are great and my baby loves them so much!

My newly magnet obsessed almost 1ye old loves these. Noticed he kept trying to play with the non-baby friendly ones we’ve always had on fridge so decided he needed his own. Tho he’s not at the age the package recommends yet, he loves them. There are some smaller pieces that I’ve kept out for now, as he’s still teething & putting everything in his mouth, just in case. But the majority of them are large enough and he loves them. They’re light weight and haven’t scratched up our stainless fridge.

These magnets are wonderful!! We love Melissa and Doug in this household, I wish we found these magnets sooner. Our 20mo old is obsessed. They’ve helped her identify animals and their sounds! They’re great quality, educational, adorable and fun! And you can’t beat the price! I definitely feel like they’re worth it.

Do buy this..... My baby likes it... colourfull and of very good material.... It is a value for money.... I would give 6 out of 5

Super genial autant pour l envois autant pour mes bouts de chou je suis assistante maternelle et quand j ai mis le tableau magnetique avec les animaux ils se sont eclater a faire le bruit des animaux et les remettre sur le tableau , moi j ai des enfant de 3 mois a 2 ans 1/2 et je peux vous dire a partir de 1 ans ils aiment sa.

Fantastic!! Definitely worth the purchase! My son is 15 months and he knows the names of all the animals and the sounds they make. The magnets have kept him very busy! I now manage getting the cooking done while he takes them on and off the fridge...Durable and good value!
