I have collected Portmeirion Botanic Garden since past 30 years and this is the first bad quality piece I’ve received.Was gently hand washing it after first use and it came apart - you could see where it had just been soldered …. Very disappointing indeed

Bought this as a gift and it was well received. The packaging is beautiful as is the lifter. Looks very expensive, is sturdy (more than I expected), has a good cutting edge and is wide enough for a slice of pie or cake. Would make a nice shower or hostess gift, birthday or Christmas present. Can’t go wrong with this.

I purchased this for my daughter for a Christmas gift as she mentioned she did not have a pie slicer at Thanksgiving. It arrived as scheduled, in a box and another box containing the item, which was bubble wrapped on the outside. It's hard for me not to keep as the handle is ceramic and lightly printed with botanical flowers. Mine is plain silver and had forever but I wanted her to have something nice and it looks like it will be sturdy enough for many years to come. I highly recommend.
