I must say this is a pretty decent product, I put zk-4kx manual into google and pretty much got the first result explaining what all the functions of this unit does, over all I am impressed The build quality of the module is pretty decent it feels sturdy and durable. Its compact design also makes it easy to fit into my project, without even calibrating it the voltages displayed is pretty much what I am getting out as you can see from the image :) For its performance and features, I believe the price is reasonable and offers good value for the money. This is an excellent choice for electronics enthusiasts!

Firstly no instructions are included, however they are easy to find online. Adjustment is fiddly, as with any item with limited input controls. Voltage indicator is quite accurate once calibrated against a DVM and output voltage is surprisingly stable over a large range of input voltages. Current output indication is less trustworthy, even once calibrated it is is not linear over a range of output voltages. However, for the price, and as other reviewers have said, it is a handy item to keep around. No real complaints here.

Accurate and trustworthy

Awful to be honest. Messed around with it for far too long because the output voltage simply would not stick to the 12v I set. It was climbing all the way up to over voltage protection and switching off Drove me crazy until realised it was faulty and I wasn’t an idiot misinterpreting the online manual. contacts or soldering was off so the only way I could get 12v out steady was to press the module together in my hands… ridiculous. See the video I attached. Will be expecting a refund or at least a brand new one sent out built properly. Could have Easily friend some very expensive equipment with this module. Be careful

Great product great seller

Only 3 stars as I found the software I think would crash as it approached 1amp output for some reason, it did everything it should but couldnt cope with more than 700mA output. Might be mine was just faulty, returned it and bought a slightly high priced different one which works fine.

Put it inside an old flip case i had, added some terminals and a USB port. Everything works as intended.. (Update on 7th of April) Converter no longer turns on, blinking green light with no output voltage whatsoever, even after going over all the settings meticulously.

Die 5 Sterne habe ich aufgrund des hervorragenden Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gegeben. Allerdings war aufgrund des kleinen Kühlkörpers auf der oberen Platine eine Modifikation notwendig, um höhere Ströme zu ermöglichen. Ich bezweifle, dass das Gerät ohne zusätzliche Kühlung einen Dauerstrom von 3A liefern kann, ohne kritische Temperaturen zu erreichen. Der kleine Kühlkörper soll die Wärme von 4 Schottky-Dioden (5A) und einem unbeschrifteten Leistungstransistor oder -regler abführen und ist unterdimensioniert. Außerdem stellte ich fest, dass zu wenig Wärmeleitpaste verwendet wurde und so der Wärmeübergang zwischen Halbleitern und Kühlkörper nicht optimal war. Die obere Platine ist rechts und links mit 2 Steckverbindern mit der Displayplatine verbunden und an den Ecken mit elastischem Montagekleber fixiert. Sie lässt sich also relativ leicht entnehmen. Der Kühlkörper ist mit einer M3-Schraube befestigt. Ich habe ihn durch einen schwarz eloxierten KK mit der vierfachen Oberfläche ersetzt. Außerdem verwende ich zusätzlich einen kleinen Lüfter zur Kühlung. Mit einem Adapter für meine Makita-Werkzeugakkus habe ich so ein netzfreies Labornetzteil angefertigt, das mit den ca. 18V des Akkus Spannungen von 0,5V - 30V liefern kann, bei Maximalströmen von 4A. Überrascht hat mich die Genauigkeit der Spannungen. Ich habe mit einem genauen Multimeter gemessen und keine Abweichung festgestellt. Die Bedienung ist etwas umständlich, lässt aber sehr umfangreiche Einstellungen zu. Eine Anleitung findet sich im Web. Nur dadurch weiß ich, dass man durch Druck auf den Reglerknopf die Einstellung von fein auf schnell umstellen kann. Einen Belastungstest habe ich mit einer 48W-Kühlbox durchgeführt. Bei 18V Eingangsspannung, 12V Ausgangsspannung und einem Strom von 4A steigt die Temperatur bei den o. g. Randbedingungen auf 85°C. Mit diesem Modul kann man zum kleinen Preis ein hochgenaues Netzteil bauen, benötigt aber nur bei kleinen Leistungen keine zusätzlichen Bauteile für die Kühlung.
