Aside from thin pages, very nice bullet journal
Overall I really liked this little bullet journal. The first thing that I noticed when I got it was the beautiful, soft faux leather cover. So cute and so fun to touch and rub! My favorite feature of this journal was the page numbers and index in the front. I wish all journals had these! It makes it so much easier to note and keep track of important things on different pages without having to go hunt for it. I also really appreciated the overall simple design – nothing on the pages but dots and page numbers. Everything else is up to you to design how you like. The elastic strap is also very convenient, and double ribbon markers are a very nice touch. The fold-out pocket inside the back cover can also be a real lifesaver when it comes to receipts and other important little bits of paper. The only thing I would like different about the journal is for the pages to be a bit heavier. 68 lb is a little thin for me, but this is just personal preference. I guess the advantage of thin pages is that you can fit more in the book, which some people would probably prefer, but personally I would take fewer pages that can handle more of my media preferences, like heavy pens, sharpies, and a little watercolor. That being said, I was impressed with the quality of the paper for only being 68 lb. A few of the pens I used on it (specifically my Sakura Micron pens) could be seen thru the backside of the page, and because of this I would hesitate to use both sides of the pages, but none actually bled thru. (It’s true when they say it’s “ink-proof”.) I also did a very light watercolor on one page, with just a tiny bit of paint and a damp brush pen. The page warped a bit, but nothing soaked thru to the other side. I don’t think most 68 lb paper would hold up as well as this does.

Great for bullet journal enthusiasts
This journal has a lot of really delightful features. It has space in the front of the book for any information needed to identify the journal and also includes sticker labels to help with the identification from the outside of the journal. I has a page in the back for return information that I personally wish was at the front since I had never seen one in the back and a person finding the journal might not know that its there. This book has 3 pages of index giving 156 index entry spaces. Having 154 numbered pages and 2 different coloured page marking ribbons makes it easy to mark active pages and reference pages. A full size pocket in the rear of the journal gives plenty of storage space. The paper is soft but thin and the dots are small and non obstructing to journal spreads. I was very surprised at how well it stood up to multiple different types of media. Most alcohol markers had very obvious ghosting but light washes of watercolour did well without any ghosting and very minimal buckling (see pictures). The cover is soft and smooth, the elastic band does its job and the kitsune print on the edges is a fun touch that helps set this journal apart from others from a visual standpoint. Over all I definitely would recommend these to anyone who bullet journals or just enjoys dot grid paper.

High quality pages and beautifully designed
The media could not be loaded. Zen Art Supplies Modernista Bullet journal is well made and very durable. The cover is pretty, soft and easy to clean if dust or drink got on it. The pages are smooth and can take quite a lot of ink as demonstrated. If you apply enough ink to the paper, it will tear. I wouldn't recommend this journal for heavy art projects that require various types of media unless you've thoroughly tested first, other-wise, this is great for drafts, doodles and lists. This journal performs how I'd expect a more expensive journal should. The paper is much higher quality and the pages are numbered with minimal distraction from what you're trying to achieve. I can switch between pages easily and find my spot with the two ribbon bookmarks included. This journal is designed beautifully and very well. It's similar to the composition books I had in my earlier years of school but a lot nicer. The Japanese 'Tsuru' crane design is gorgeous and fits the overall aesthetic of the Modernista series. My only peeve is that the only lined pages are index pages (4) total. This isn't a big issue if you're not picky about whether or not your journal has lines, but for those who like the more traditional style, you might want to consider looking at alternatives. The packaging was simple, nothing fancy. It came in a standard shipping bag covered in a thin plastic bag and sealed from protective elements. It was clean, simple and easy to open. Overall I give the Modernista Series Bullet Journal by Zen Art Supplies a 5/5. It's pretty to look at, durable, travel friendly and worth the price.

Great Notebook
First of all, the design is gorgeous. The beautiful endpapers really lend a sense of elegance to the whole notebook. As seen in my photos I did add some cute little Halloween stickers on the cover of mine. I love to customize my notebooks and sketchbooks and the solid color color lends well to that. The cover is soft and flexible but seems sturdy. The notebook lies flat when opened which is nice, and if you wanted you can also fold it in half for easier notetaking. I appreciate the numbered pages and the index in the front since I will be using it for multiple topics this helps with organization. The two ribbon bookmarks also seem like a great way to save multiple places if you are taking notes and/or using it as a 2-subject notebook. I find the included stickers as a nice little bonus if you need to label the book with your name/subject/dates etc. The pages themselves hold up to most typical pens. I only got bleedthrough if I went really aggressively and repeatedly in with marker or ink straight out of the bottle. It is even ok with Posca pens if you don't press too hard. You can very slightly see marks on the opposite side of a page through the other but it is not enough that is very obvious or bothers me. I'm quite impressed that for pages which seem quite thin to be so resilient. Overall I think the quality is quite nice and it seems to have been designed quite thoughtfully not only for utility but aesthetic.

doubled in price!!
Great little book so far...I'm a bit of journal junkie, and I really like the size and weight of this book. It is standing up well to my writing and drawing habits....I have even done a few water colours in it's pages (although that is not it's intended use).NOTE: went to purchase again and found the exact same item has DOUBLED in price! I bought 2 for 50$ last year. I will not pay 52$ for 1 book. That is robbery.

Great size and feel of cover and paper
I had a thinker b5 from another brand but I like that this size fits better and lasts me about 3 months.Cover fells nice. Two bookmarks and numbered paper with an index. So fairly perfect. The paper also is about the heaviest I’ve had recently so no bleed and stays open nicely.

Bellissimo
Copertina morbida, piacevole al tocco. Carta di qualità, non troppo sottile. Molto ben rifinito.

Merci beaucoup !!
