160GB 2.5" SATA Hard Drive Western Digital WD1600BJKT

This drive is now 3 year old and still working well under extreme temperature conditions. I purchased this drive for use in an older HP Laptop computer as a replacement for an failing 80GB drive. The HP laptop that I purchased this drive for is located in my Pocono cabin and stays there year round. Once the drive was installed in the computer I installed Fedora Linux as the operating system. In the summer the cabin temps will often reach into the low 90's which is not all that hot but in the winter sub-zero temps are frequent and often for days or even weeks at a time. Last week I upgraded Linux versions on this computer and its drive and checked for drive error and even after 3 years of use in extreme winter temps the drive is not reporting any errors.

The hard drive attached to my 1720 dell laptop easily, and is as described. This is a great option if you need more storage on an older laptop.
