A great surprise!
I am a tinker. I do a little of everything. I bought this sewing machine to mend because my hand sewing is awful. I buy nothing but used clothes because I like bargains. Speaking of bargains, this sewing machine is wonderful. At the price, its a great buy. The documentation is perfect. It does everything the advertisement says it will do. Its seems to be very well made and perfect for a quick fix, a hem, or whatever. No its not the greatest sewing machine I have ever used but it might be the easiest I have ever used. I think of it as a little jewel in my tool box. It is perfect for me and I'm not a seamstress. It is as good as the ancient Singer I used as a teen to pleat and roll my first car some 57 years ago. I like having lots to read about a product and this came with a quick guide that is well written, and very thorough and easy to understand manual. It's sews just dandy and its is the best of the inexpensive sewing machines. If I took it to Goodwill, they'd sell it for more than it cost on the AmazingZon! Its why better than the junk they over price. If you are not happy with this, pay at least $100 more to get a better machine. I loved it. It's perfect for the cheap grimy gremlin I am. It works wonderfully well. Perfect for the little jobs of the average man. I hemmed my shorts, a pair of pants and had ni problem figuring out how to do anything with it. I loved it.

No Constant Fiddling With This One
This little sewing machine ran perfectly right out of the box. It's super easy to thread too. I used it quite a lot without it needing any adjustment, and it never ever jammed, skipped, or snapped the thread.

LOL Beginner Sewing Machine
This product deserves NO STARS based on the title. I bought this machine for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. She was very excited to get her own sewing machine. I taught myself to sew during the pandemic (like many others) and absolutely love it. I find it very therapeutic. My daughter was always asking to sew but I didn’t want her to break my machine so I bought this one…again a Christmas present and very excited 9 year old. Thankfully I told her she wasn’t allowed to use it unsupervised. I was terrified the first time we tried to use it. The slow speed is way to fast for beginners and there’s no way to change the speed-only fast and faster. The items it came with are junk. The thread on the spools and bobbins weren’t wound on correctly so you couldn’t get the ends out to even use them. So I bought her some thread…can only use small (I mean small) spools due to placement on machine. I told her we’d practice, it’s just a new machine. Talk about lying to yourself. This machine broke every needle it came with plus all of the extra ones I bought. She wanted to make a dress for her doll. I finally said the heck with it and let her use my machine. She did an AWESOME job.I didn’t want to spend a lot on a machine for a 9 year old but I learned a lesson. I will spend more on a better machine so she can learn to sew without the aggravation and worry she would sew her hand.

Honest Review from a Beginner
I was truly a beginner at sewing when I purchased this machine. It is very basic in ways both good and not-so-good. That being said, it is a safe choice for someone new to sewing. This machine is great for learning basic stitching techniques. However, I find that certain stitch patterns tend to fail (the machine can't perform or keep up with the speed of the needle, etc.) Another gripe I have is that the foot peddle is a single speed and not pressure sensitive. You're pretty much stuck sewing at one speed regardless of how much weight you press on the peddle. The bobbin thread is a little too difficult to pull through the hole near the presser foot, but after a good 5 minutes of fiddling with it I was able to pull it through. People should know that this is NOT a heavy duty machine and your needles / thread will bind up on to if you aren't careful. The outside is plastic and I'm assuming some internals are as well, but I digress because one shouldn't expect much else based on the affordable price. As a beginner, I didn't want to spend too much money on a machine in case I found that I hated sewing, so this is definitely a safer investment for those looking into practicing their hand at the craft. This machine definitely doesn't deserve a 5 star review, but it also doesn't deserve any less than a 3. It comes with everything you need to practice sewing, including a few spair pieces (which I was happy they provided considering the price is below $100).

Great machine for beginners!
I bought this for my son because well, he's a boy and he's rough on his clothes and I'm tired of buying new clothes constantly. He's 8 years old and had never used a sewing machine before, and I haven't used one since middle school haha. This machine was all set up and ready to go with simple instructions to get started. He has fixed some of his favorite shirts already and now he's interested in creating his own stuff to give out for Christmas presents and I'm pretty excited about his creativity and ability to learn new and useful crafts. A+ on this simple, adorable machine!

Not for beginner friendly.
I am true beginner at sewing. This is a VERY basic machine. Not fully understanding (even after reading the detailed instructions) on how to properly thread the needle and bobbin, leaves this consumer frustrated. When I finally figured it out, there still runs the issue of the “tension” of the thread to make sure your sewing stitch looks right. I’m wishing that I spent more money on another machine. If you’re a seasoned sewing enthusiast, maybeeeeeee this would be okay for you for travel.. but then I’d just recommend a hand stitch. Meh.

I'm impressed
I am not an expert sewer by any means but my granddaughter came to visit and wanted to sew a few things and had a lot of fun.I thought this might be a good machine to start her off on her own sewing journey. I have plugged it in and done all the steps it says it can do and it did perform each one flawlessly. So far I am very happy with this machine. Will see if I need to post a different opinion once I've given her the gift and we have tried to make a garment.
