Worked flawlessly right out of the box, without programming, on our 6 year old LG 60" plasma TV (not a smart TV. Controls all functions correctly and the TV responds to them more quickly than was ever the case with the original remote, even when it was new. Looks and feel great, but does not have the back-lighting on the remote buttons that the original had. Not an issue since the back-lighting was always too dim to be useful anyway.

I inherited a beautiful LG HD TV from my mother in law that is about 3-4 years old. The batteries were not changed timely and they corroded in the remote control causing it to stop functioning. Rather than try to repair the remote and expose myself to lots of lead, I ordered this replacement remote. I matched the picture to the remote that stopped working along with the TV brand name (LG) and I found this one. It works as good as new. I always appreciate a brand that does not force you to purchase a whole new product when one piece of the product is fragile and breaks. Thank you LG for making fungible remote controls. Thank you, Amazon for making remote replacement really easy. It is not an impossible task like it used to be before the internet.

Does not work with smart LG tv. You can't get to apps, you tube, Netflix, etc. Power, volume, channel works, but not all the other stuff!

The first POS remote didn’t work at all and when you shook it, something inside rattled. So I came here and ordered a replacement instead of refund as I needed the remote. the replacement worked immediately and perfectly without any programming. My LG tv was stuck at the initial default settings setup page while the replacement was in the mail. I am SOOO happy the replacement worked without a hitch and saved my tv because I was worried the tv was messed up as the navigation knob wouldn’t allow me to save the settings and exit the default setup page after resetting to factory default.
