I'm no connoisseur but this is good matcha
This one's a beautiful bright green color, well-preserved in its metal tin. Throw in the blender with smoothies or dissolve in hot water, and mix with lakanto and plant milk in a frother for healthy lattes. Healthiest source of caffeine out there if I'm not mistaken, with a price tag suggestive of its quality. I'm no matcha, green tea connoisseur but I imagine this is what real, quality matcha smells and tastes like, it definitely beats Starbucks.

The Flavor!!!
I have now stopped coffee completely after drinking this brand specifically. All the rest don’t live up (few close) but for the ceremonial (the greenest baby tea leaves) this brand tastes sweet enough to need nothing else but almond milk. I freak out when I get low. Aiya seems to be the leader for me!

Overall good
The product overall is good quality and very tasty! The only issue is the amount of matcha powder for the money spent. Would still recommend though!

terrific but pricey
Just for fun, I ordered this along with far-less-expensive culinary grade matcha (from China) and made matcha frappes from both. This is a great example of you-get-what-you-pay-for. Ceremonial matcha is definitely better tasting, fresher, stronger, and doesn't have that odd bitter/chalky tang of culinary matcha, and just looks better - bright green, not pea green/brownish. OTOH, the price difference is pretty large. Plus the ceremonial grade is so powerful that I was buzzed off two teaspoons for 24 hrs. Whether you go for culinary or ceremonial grade, it's worth it to swap this for coffee. The caffeine buzz feels healthier and less obnoxious. It makes you alert but doesn't interfere with sleep or have a jaggy come-down. Even if I were Jeff Bezos, I wouldn't make frappes from this all the time, it's just too powerful. Maybe half and half with the culinary grade? That's the next experiment!

Clumpy matcha weird but tasty
This matcha doesn’t blend easily or well and I always end up with clumpy sediment with this particular brand. I started putting it through a strainer before I froth it and that seemed to do the trick. Sadly, I don’t have the desire to make this more of a production so I only buy this brand when my favorite brand is unavailable. The flavor of this matcha is excellent.

Won't dissolve.
I've been drinking matcha for years. I decided to purchase a higher quality ceremonial grade, but this was far from a positive experience. The pictures show my 4th cup attempt with this product. After the first cup I decided to put the matcha through a flour sifter to help loosen the clumps. Still had clumps at the end of each cup. I used a mini whisk and even tried a frother to break up the matcha. The water is boiled in a tea kettle and I tried even water from my expresso machine and still clumps. The taste is great, but the amount of product wasted is not acceptable when considering the cost per ounce. Defeated the purpose if t won't dissolve. I will go back to my prior brand.
