this game is so much better than ncaa football 12 i went back to this version
i recommend to buy this game over ncaa football 12. i had 12 but sold it to gamestop for nba 2k11.i bought this game again. it has less bugs.it is very good football game and is ther same as 12 basically but better gameplay and graphics are better two.the only different is on 12 you get custom conferences and some barely updated entrances which ncaa football has most of the entrances anyway. i didnt include the custom playbooks for 12 because technically they are their but they dont work right and cannot use them. the team either lines up wrong than what you created or it makes the disc freeze. basically your trading in a good solid ncaa football 11 for these issues.i think you will have more fun playing ncaa football 11. please dont pass this game off because tebows on the cover, because your passing a very good game. my review hasnt nothing to do with tebow on the cover. its my 100% honest opinion about this game vs ncaa football 12.

GREAT GAME
Much better i will not mind my children going in the room when the game is being played that was really bad when I had to keep the kids out of the game room. I want to thank EA sports for not putting (real looking cheerleaders) in the game I hope they continue this way. The game is great to play, Every game has its faults but the recruiting is better than before we give it 2 thumbs up hope this helps

Details make a difference
This is the best installment of the NCAA series. Last year's game was too fast, and they have slowed it down for '11. You can adjust the speed of the players, which is great for anyone who really got used to last year's game. Teambuilder is back, and no, you do not have to re-create your teams. What I really like about this is the details on the uniforms. If your school is sponsored by Nike, your players wear the SuperBad and Vapor Carbon cleats, an you get to select the color of every piece of your uniform. If you want to wear the 2007 version of the Baylor Bears' helmet with a white jersey and gold pants, complimented awfully by black socks and white/green shoes...you can. Any piece can be mixed and matched. Revolution Speed style helmets are in the game, as are 1/2" fore arm, bicep, and calf bands. The recruiting system has changed slightly, but I think it is an improvement once you get used to it. Being able to download other gamers' rosters saves time and makes the game even more authentic if you find some one with all real names. Overall this installment was worth the money, and is fun to play still, even after my 4th season.

Ex-Madden fans seek refuge here!
If you're like me you've been growing more and more sickened by the absolute crap that the Madden game has turned into. I finally tapped out and starting searching for a replacement. NCAA Football 11 was just what I was looking for. Prior to this game I never watched college football. My worry was that a lack of knowledge concerning the teams and rivalries would diminish my enjoyment of it. Not at all. If anything I've starting building my own rivalries with teams. The gameplay is great. That's the real reason to migrate from Madden. Which is weird because they seem very similar on the surface. But they're not. Here's where they differ: this game is actually fun to play! I was a big fan of Madden's franchise mode. In NCAA it's even more addicting. Instead of drafting rookies once a year you're recruiting players every week. This means you're constantly "talking" with players trying to convince them to join your team. I get so into it sometimes I let the game simulate just so I can get to that week's recruiting. Sure I still pine to play an awesome NFL game but it just doesn't exist right now. Until it does, this is the play for me.

Condition classified incorrectly.
Advertised as "Like New" condition, which it is most certainly not. It's borderline good/acceptable. There are multiple large scratches on the disc, which for its age is normal, but again, when you say "Like New", it should be almost perfect.

Football for my man
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. We just got a PS3. He has played the PS2 games for several years. He is very happy with it. He says we need to be able to connect to the internet for certain options, but even though we have not been able to do it, he is happy. It's different than the PS2 game. The graphics are better and he has to save all kinds of stuff. He is happy and is enjoying himself. As a wife, I earned some brownie points.

Huge Improvement
Just got it yesterday and played my first game of the season--an epic battle between my mighty Wake Forest Demon Deacons and perennial powerhouse Duke.I poured a beer and settled in. Immediately noticed that the graphics are significantly better than last year--I am not a technical gamer, so I can only describe them as infinitely better than the cartoony NCAA 10. I typically fast forward thru the opening directly to game play, but of course I wanted to see what was coming so I went through the opening which really does a nice job of building the anticipation (even in a Wake vs Duke game)culminating in the players running out of the tunnel. Not exactly Florida v. Alabama, or Michigan v. Ohio State, but still exciting for an ol' ACC guy. Kickoff--underway. As advertised the game play is much smoother and the running much more lifelike. The player will not speed off like Wile E. Coyote when you sprint or juke on a dime. I found running to be challenging but not impossible.Passing, too, seems much more fluid and lifelike, and granted I was playing Duke, but I found putting pressure on the QB to be not quite as impossible as I found it to be in last year's model. Overall, the speed of the game has been vastly improved from the herky jeky NCAA 10, to a much more fluid pace. The play calling is far better than last year once I got used to the change--it offers a fairly easy switch from plays by formation, type or selected by coach, and it much much more variety. For those of use who occasionally need a prompt re audibles, etc, the presentation is clear, and I think unobtrusive on the screen. I am a casual guy, and I know nothing of frame rates, etc. All I can say is that the visual presentation is a huge improvement over last year, as is the game play. And no Corso reading his lines like a kid in the fifth grade play makes it worth the price of admission. If you gave up on this one give it a try again. And in case you're wondering--Wake 24-17 on a two minute drive in the fourth capped by a sweet 24 yard TD pass on a bootleg roll out. Probably doesn't bode well for the season that I squeaked one out against Duke..... EDIT:Played a few more games, and moved up to All American since Varsity seemed to easy. Here's what I noticed. (And I am not an All-American--I'm really a novice). I find playing defense to be very difficult. It seems to me that cycling thru the players is not as quick as it was in the previous version. When I switch plyers to make a tackle, most frequently on running plays, it strikes me that I often don't activate the tackler I really need quickly enough and the opposing runner will just go right thru me. I will also say, and I think this is a good thing, if you go for a tackle or a big hit and you are not in position, good night nursie--the guy is gone. And forget what I said about QB pressure. At the A-A level I can't get any. According to the manual hands up when your lineman is engaged is right stick up. Well that does nothing for me. The only way I can get hands up is with R1 and that is a really cumbersome move to make when your trying to do other things. I cannot get pressure on the QB. When I try to bull rush, 90% of the time my lineman ends up doing a face plant. When I try a finesse move to go around I get locked down, and low and behold the WR is ALWAYS open. Yet, the CPU apparently does not have this trouble as it is in my face on EVERY SINGLE PASS PLAY.It is aggravating as heck, but this game is still a blast.

Football as good as it gets.
If you must buy a football game then this is the game. I was blown away by how many features were on this game. I bought this game as a gift and was 100% percent satisfied. You can do a dynasty mode and recruit and play 30 seasons. Road to glory where you play an existing player or create a player and try to get recruited and play on a good team. Also features games with mascots, ect.

surprisingly pleased.
I gave this game a shot and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Iv been playing madden games for many years, so I thought this would be a step back. Glad to say I was wrong. Visually impressive. Easy control system. Satisfying game play. Bold statement but a perfect starting point for anyone wanting to get into American football games
