Great buy, potential in reinvestment
It’s been over a year or two, I forget and it’s been holding up great. Great buy, might buy another sometime soon. Valves still in good condition. The finish is kind of coming off but I’ve put it through tough situations so I don’t mind. Balanced sound for a cheap price. Nothing to special

Best bang for the buck!!!
Sweet horn. Picked up after 20 years removed from professional playing trumpet. Don't ask. Horn sounds very mellow. Looks great. First valve button broke off...... I'm still ok with it. Will diy replace it myself someday. Upper register after A major is not very good. I had to use Allen vizzuti piece to get a decent register above A. And I mean up to high D only!!! Which is good for a flugel. Not going to get a better cheap..... Cheap flugel for the money that I can think of. If you're a good trumpet player and want a very nice cheap Fluge l for a couple of times now and then get this. If you're an aspiring Chuck Mangione look elsewhere......the French built horns!!!!

Faulty Valve action
I. am very disappointed because the valve action is very sluggish. The middle valve in particular does not work properly. I have tried cleaning and frequent use of valve oil to no avail.

so far so good
I'm primarily a [French] horn player and got this for fun and to fill in whenever one of my groups needed a flugel. My standards might not be as high as a professional's. That being said:Tone is good. Sounds good enough to use in performance. No blatant tuning issues.Build quality seems fine. No mechanical failures so far. Third valve slide feels a bit slow/heavy no matter how I grease it.Would recommend getting a better mouthpiece than the stock one.

A Lot of Horn for a Little Wampum!
For the price, I feel that this was a really good purchase. I am primarily a woodwind player, so I am probably not nearly as critical as someone who specializes in brass instruments. I bought this just to play for my own amusement...and to play in church occasionally. I was impressed with the tone quality and appearance, considering the low price that I paid for this instrument.

Excellent Horn
I purchased this for my band mate and he loves the horn. He sounded like Chris Botti right out box. The sound is rich and he have no complaints with key action. As a band we have had many problems with bad sounding Flugelhorns. This Allora is the best sounding so far. It also encouraged me to buy a soprano saxophone from Allora what I am totally impressed with. This is a great, safe buy.

Nice horn for the dough
Just need to say that for the dollars spent, this is a nice horn. Plays very well with pretty good intonation. Tone is rich and full. Good value!
