Barely heard any noise while spinning. It works like a charm.
I really appreciate the delivery driver for making sure it stood upright.. On the side of box it clearly states caution oil keep upright... The one in plastic wrap is the new transmission and the rust colored on the machine is the old one. I took my time braking it down kept all the parts on the brake system in a container so i would lose them. I also replaced the Brake pad the coupler and the rubber thing to go on the coupler all while I had it tore down. Originally my washer would make a loud sound but not spin so I pulled it out and seen what appears to be oil, so YouTube University I went and it was a combination of things so I order the kits for the coupler, the brakes, and the New Transmission. I will teach myself how to take out the oil seal ring and replace it on the old one and keep as a backup. So I feel this would have another good 20 years or more of use out of it. You definitely need gloves or put vassoline on your hands to get the oil off later. My transmission works like a charm.

This trans works great! Easy to install, its like i have a brand new washer. Tjos is a very common item for older models, always check part numbers to make sure ypu have the right item.

Failed within one year
I bought this transmission in October 2023. It worked fine until yesterday when it failed. It lasted only 11 months. My repair guy said in all the years he has been repairing washing machines, he had never seen a transmission fail so quickly. They usually last decades. Fortunately, the piece was under warranty. Unfortunately, I have to pay the labor charges again.

Exactly What We Needed
Whirlpool washer had a kinda like grinding noise and the agitator was barley moving. We changed dog ears and checked the motor coupling, all of it. All were good. We ordered the transmission. Got here in less then 5 days. Watched the video on repairclinic.com on how to replace it and it works perfectly! If your washer is making a loud or light grinding sound and the agitator isn’t spinning correctly, good chance it’s the transmission. Price was great. We’re extremely happy!!!

Washer is working again
My 20 plus year old Estate washer was making a dreadful grinding sound whenever it would spin. Replaced the transmission and the washer is working without the grinding sound. Replacing the transmission was easier than it sounds. I watched a few YouTube videos first then I did the transmission replacement.
