Bronzed Finish Pan Faun Statue Greek Mythology by Private La

There's over twenty Roman/Greco gods in the Pantheon I've collected. But, this is likely to be a difficult piece for others to own because there will be those that say, "Isn't that Satan?" The answer is a resounding: "NO!" The early Christians "borrowed" the image of Pan and affixed it to Satan to frighten their faithful. I leave it to you to decide the merits of such actions.That aside, this is the pastoral god, Pan. He delights in music and the ladies. And, he is delightfully portrayed complete with horns, pointed ears, and cloven hooves. Being a god of fertility, there is another appendage exposed. The workmanship is detailed and handsomely artistic. As a fertility god, this statue might make a welcome gift to a couple hoping to be with child soon - just a thought?While I'm very happy with my purchase, again, I must warn that it is a mature item to own, perhaps best reserved for people of independent natures. A heads-up to those with strong Christian ties or modest acquaintances - you might find you have some explaining to do.

I was surprised at the weight & wonderful detail of this Pan statue. Totally relived that it was not going to rest in the closet along with a few other diissappointing purchases considering lack of description of what it is made of Bronze finish resin ,plaster, or?Also not sure of height so again what a nice suprise to find a 9.5" attractive and worthwhile statue for my Breakfastroom shelf.I took a chance and don't regret it.

Wow! I love Pan and all things related to Horned God imagery. The statue itself has a good weight to it. Not light but not heavy either. Very detailed and the bronze finish gives it a classy and natural look. He looks wonderful guarding the bedroom on the nightstand. Would not recommend for outdoor use/does not seem fit for outdoor weather (I could be wrong). I do recommend.

This is a very well made statue. It has substantial heft, and the finish is of high quality, accentuating the figure's finger details. I keep it in the window sill above my desk to remind me that there's a natural world outside my home office!

Statue is pretty good but the finish is too shiny, not s bronze effect , more tarnished gold, which detracts from the potential of a quality look.
