Great idea...poor construction.
Waited 9 months to use this. Catch a small, 2 1/2-foot Bonet Head shark and it breaks taking the hook out. Pin and bottom jaw fell right in the water. Not happy.UPDATE: Boom reached out to me and sent me a new one. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I will change my rating if it holds up. Good support and customer service though.

These Booms R1 SS Fish Hook Extractors look great and do the trick! I've been doing without them for years and now I'm wondering why I didn't find something like this earlier? The tool I received looks quite durable. I'm thinking the way that they're built, they should stand up to several years of usage. I found Booms R1 Hook Extractors to be an exceptional value.

After usage
Has some side to side play that makes it somewhat frustrating. Also not a problem that I experience but if you have smaller hands or for a child, the grip might be a little too wide for easy use.

Great Tool for Dehooking Catches
I've dehooked everything from small bait fish to large dogfish and striper with this tool.Helps to have another person to hold the fish, but can be done solo if you're patient.
