LOVE this gift!
Received as a gift I picked out for my birthday. It is a little confusing to assemble to the camera but if you watch the video while you put it on you are in for an easy treat. I've had it a couple years now, and use my camera nearly every day. It really makes me feel like my camera is apart of me and not dangling, and very secure when on unlevel ground. I can't say enough about this product!!! I've tried others spiders, peak design, etc, but they all had metal parts that were likely to scratch the camera. This does have a metal piece, but its location is less likely to come in contact with the camera body. I love the look, feel, and shape of the leather and wouldn't dream of going back to any of my previous straps. LOVE LOVE LOVE this camera strap!! Years later, it still looks great, and performs perfectly!** We did slightly cut down the leather to get through the camera toggle. I have used this with success on Canon's 70D and 7D2.

Great Product! (but doesn't work well with my Sony Nex 5T)
First, the quality of the product is great! Leather looks amazing. Second, very fast shipping. I didn't expect it be delivered earlier than the posted time frame.Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to keep it for my Sony Nex-5T, it just wouldn't fit right. It's perfect for bigger DSLR cameras or even bridge cameras, but not for my mirrorless camera and may not be suitable with other compact cameras (*sigh*). There wasn't much information or pictures showing it's use for smaller cameras, but I figured I'd try it out since I can't just bring it to a shop and try one out.I would have loved for it fit perfectly...For those with mirrorless cameras, a couple things to keep in mind regarding this hand strap (CONS):1) the multi-plate is bigger than the actually width of your four thirds camera, so the plate itself sticks out (it's not aesthetically pleasing)2) once the strap is in place, it's actually difficult to get a comfortable grip; my hand started to cramp after due to the restrictions of the strap while pressing (in a awkward form) the shutter buttonThe PRODUCT ITSELF is great though! Don't get me wrong. If I had a bigger camera, I'd definitely keep it for longtime use.

Exceptional quality, beautifully made and very comfortable
Exceptionally well made and comfortable. Beautiful leather and quality hardware provides confidence that your camera is secure and won't be falling to the ground due to product failure. The adapter that attaches to the camera's tripod mount is required to use the hand grip, as the strap is secured to the bottom of the camera by threading it through the slot in the adapter. The well made adapter is a little bulkier than I'd like for it to be, but not too bad. It may have to be as thick as it is to allow enough thread engagement of a second adapter, which may be required if this one doesn't work with your particular make of tripod (which is what I have to do). Having two stacked adapters really is obnoxious, so I usually take the tripod adapter off when not in use, which is somewhat inconvenient, but I still love the hand grip and use it regularly.

good quality hand strap for DSLR
I wanted to have a durable, good quality hand strap for DSLR. So I bought this Herringbone's strap. Appearance, quality of build is good enough but its design has some issue. If I install the strap as same as instructon video on youtube, the strap will get loose during actual photo shooting if you install this hand strap and neck strap together. The strap has metal parts to let neck strap installed together, but the way install this metal parts showed in video was not good way and it was the root cause of the prblem. I changed the way to install the metal parts based on my idea and it is better now. Other issue is that the leather tube to fix extra strap is also easy to get loose. So far after I fixed metal parts for neck strap issue, it works good. Below is link to instruction video on youtube and attached photo shows how I installed the metal parts for comparison.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esRsVL4IBsM

Very happy with this purchase
I bought this for my new D850 because I wanted a grip that would be sturdy and look nice. I was a little unsure of what to expect, but was very pleased when I received it. The stitching is well done and the construction has been sturdy. The padding is good and it feels very natural and comfortable to slip my hand in and go. I found a video tutorial on YouTube that shows how to put the grip on the camera, which was helpful. I have it attached to a quick release L-bracket so I can go from hand carry to tripod quickly.

Must Have
Tough but flexible leather. Own 2 of these. One for my Canon 5DMIII and Canon 5DMIV. These grips never let me down and I have used them under many circumstances. They are good as GOLD.

Looks to be of very good quality
Well made of good quality leather with very precise stitching. My only issue was the length of the attaching strap is quite long and because it is made of stitched leather it required me to ungracefully fold it up at the bottom.

Go for it...It's too versatile!
Relatively new to digital photography and knew I wanted something substantial, durable and with some aesthetic quality. All this and more were found in the Herringbone Heritage grip. Easy feeling on the hand and the good thing I can still attach a strap to the base attachment. This also allows me to put my tripod quick-release attachment as well. For me it was well worth the money and I keep it on the camera at all times.
