Does it convert pal dvds to ntsc tv e.g. uk dvd to usa tv set?

HI if purchased from 220-electronics Yes these players will play Pal and NTSC discs and convert them to NTSC so that they will work on any TV. Also they are region free and will play any region Blu-ray including region A, B, and C as well as any region standard DVD. PLEASE NOTE: the region free upgraded player is different than the normal player. Many sellers are confused on this and are selling the NON region free player in this region free listing. IF you purchase from 220-electronics rest assured you will get the region free version as advertised.

Will this play both Blu-ray and plain dvd multi revions

My region free one will play dvds... all I have tried. I play some bbc blue rays & dvds and they work fine. My unhacked one won’t play any dvds through to the end. Mostly, it won’t even start them, even in NA region ones.

If It is turned off in the middle of the movie will it pick up where it stopped?

Yes. I've tried a few different discs so far letting it turn off on its own paused and also manually turning off the machine after pausing. Everytime I've turned it on it would play from where it was paused previously. I did notice it might take some time to load or I would have to manually push play, but I haven't had any issues with it auto resuming.

Does this player plays dvd/bd on Mexico?

I can verify that this Sony product works in Region 2 Europe, it came right on, you don't need to program it for other regions they play automatically. I would probably say this Sony statement; works in all regions, is probably true.
