Who doesn’t love being able to erase their ink writing?

My daughter always seems to put lines through her work at school. Now call me old fashioned but I think it looks untidy and that care has not been taken. Having thought about this and the fact that the pen rubbers of old did not work I came across these. The ink just goes away as though it was never there, no trace, no paper marks, nothing, extra chuffed. This has actually made a real difference with my daughters work, it looks smarter. Oh and I forgot to mention the pens write really well and do not smudge or smear if left for a few seconds after writing, great.

Smooth easy writing, erases to being less visible than pencil grapite, so 99% gone. Since it has a friction eraser there is no mess or worry of wearing it down. But since this is a cap pen, the cap has to be removed so you can erase with the friction eraser. I often find myself looking for the cap again after a writing session. Possible an eraser on the cap too would be handy but if youre not as forgetful as me, you should be fine. I always used to write with mechanical pencils, but since this combines the function of one into a pen, i am now able to submit english essays or science labs without fear of anti pencil criticism. However the ink on black for example is 1 or 2 slight shades lighter than the classic pen dark black. It still looks like pen, but is not a super deep colour. In Short: Remove the cap, writes smooth, clean, fine, comfortable, erases 99%. Potential switch for mechanical pencil users. Ink slightly lighter, Best pen I have used.

This pen is really cool. I heard about it on a quilting site. If you draw on fabric with this pen and then iron the fabric, the ink disappears. Awesome. But there is a small caveat. They say if the pen stops working, put it in the freezer so I wrote on a small scarp of fabric, ironed it (poof, writing gone) and then I put the fabric in the freezer. The writing started to come back. So if you're using this for sewing, be aware of that. Chances are your sewing is going to be in the freezer or get cold enough for the ink to reappear but it's a possibility and something to be aware of before making any markings on something that may potentially reappear in the future.

This pen actually erases completely with no trace left, no damage to paper. Writes nicely like all Pilot pens, with no smudging.

FriXion pens are my absolute favourite pens. They write smoothly, erase completely, and don't fade over time. I use them all the time, pretty much to the exclusion of any other pen. However, be aware that they should not be used on legal documents or to sign cheques since they can be erased. Use a regular, non-erasable pen any time you want to be sure no one can change anything. (Also, as other reviews have said, be sure to order from Amazon not a 3rd party seller. I only got 1 pen when I ordered, but I was able to get things cleared up with the seller.)
