Dave's Customs Unlimited diff covers are some of the most heavy-duty covers made in the USA. These covers are the real deal. They are not cheaply made cast covers from China. Our D44 covers will fit most all D44s front or rear, and even the Rubicon D44 axles with the factory locker. The covers are made from two pieces - The bolt ring is laser cut from 3/8" thick HRP&O, USA-made steel. The cover (shell) is formed from a single piece of 1/4" thick HRP&O, USA-made steel on a 250 ton CNC brake. The cover is then fit by hand and mig welded. One piece machined fill plug (placed higher for added oil capacity and easier filling). Includes stainless steel Allen head cap screws. NOTE: We do not sand our covers so some cleanup may be necessary before painting or powder coating.
