Gundam GX-45 Mazinger Z Soul of Chogokin Metal Figure

I was a fan of this kind of characteristics when I was a little boy and now I'm 31 one and I buy them as collection items and a reminders. This item here has so much details and made mostly out of iron and strong plastics. I loved the components and the base that can carry the whole model.Loved it!!

A warning for "mom and dad" this is not a toy in my opinion, small parts, display stand, etc makes this mazinger z a beautiful collectible piece to be proud of, i grow up watching mazinger Z and i consider my self a true fan of the series and this is by far the most beautiful model i ever owned, the mixture of metal parts and plastic are perfect, the size compared to other models of the soul of chogokin series is smaller, but that is not a big deal when you hold it in your hands and see for your self why is better, the articulation sistem is perfect, you can pose this model in every position you want, the detail of the jet scrander is amazing and is made out of plastic. Two pairs of hands gives you the ability to put mazinger in every position you can imagine. This model is a representation of the new remake of the mazinger Z series and not the 70s one so if you are looking for a mazinger Z of the original 70s series this is not for you, but if you are a true fan you will get this baby that will make you remember why this series represent so much for so many generations!!!.Una advertencia para los padres, esto no es un juguete es un modelo de metal con piezas plasticas pequeñas y metalicas y un estante de exposicion que lo hacen un modelo para adultos o adolecentes, la combinacion de plastico y metal en mi opinion es la perfecta, los puntos de articulación garantizan que este modelo se podrá poner en casi cualquier pose, el detalle del jet scrander es sorprendente y esta hecho todo en plastico, este modelo esta basado en la nueva serie de mazinger Z y no en la original de los años 70 así que si eres fan de la serie original y estas buscando ese modelo este no es para ti, pero si eres un verdadero fan de mazinger Z vas a querer poner tus manos en este modelo que te hara recordar porque esta serie significa tanto para muchas generaciones!!!

I got into the chogokin hobby very late like just a month ago late. I was able to get the GX-31V Voltes V via trade and it got me hook. The moment I got Voltes V displayed the first thing I did was search for a great companion Mazinger Z to display it with. I was keen on getting a GX-01R but after watching lots of reviews on youtube I finally decided on the GX-45 to be the Mazinger that will be in my display. The articulation and poseability of this figure is amazing. Heck even the little hover pilder has articulation that its glider wings folds up just like the show.Ok just to note the GX-01 or GX-01R is the correct version of the 70's cartoon (dark bluish color on the legs, feet, forearm and hands)and looks stocky (ok chubby), while this GX-45 is more of the 2008 Shin Mazinger Z version where the the dark blue in GX-01 are all black and has a more leaner built. But if you're like me who likes his collection to be much more in scale with one another, the GX-45 scales well with other Chogokin robots. The GX-01 is just a little bit tall to be in scale with Voltes V, Grendizer and Daimos. Scale wise Voltes V is the tallest, then Daimos followed by Grendizer and Mazinger the shortest.The only thing I would love to have with this figure that the GX-01 has is the iron cutter forearms and the drill missile feature in his elbows. But other than that this to me is the best choice if you will only have one Mazinger Z in your soul of chogokin collection. I'm still a few robots away to say that I have the collection I want but GX-45 is a very nice first addition and it really made me decide to continue to collect this line. Definitely will try to get a Daimos, Grendizer, Raideen, Gaiking and Getter Robot. Looking forward to see the upcoming Danguard Ace (I wonder how will it scale with the rest) and very much hoping that Bandai will make a Mekanda Robot that's in scale with these Chogokins.

I'm 34 and this is the first toy that I bought at this age!! hehe!! When I was a child I grew watching this show and when I saw it here, well, many feelings show up! The "toy" is really well made, almost all in metal, only the head and fists are made of plastic(the scrander and pilder and stand, too) It's completely poseable!! Paint is flawless and it's kind of heavy so this cannot be considered as a toy, but a collection figure for adults! he hehe My wife watches me and thinks I am a grown up child, uh? Well, I don't know but what's the difference between grown up men and boys? Their toys! Do you agree?UPDATE: I continue thinking that this is the best Mazinger Z ever! But now Ive realized that this product should have come with a pair of gloves and a piece of cloth included!! and mine didnt come with that!! I dont know if it's only me or if the seller did forget to include that! That's the reason I edited this review! One star less only because of that missing feature! If someone else had the same situation please let me know!

I scoured the interwebs looking for review after review for this toy making sure the finished product would rival the expense, and THIS IS IT!!! There is absolutely NOTHING a toy collector or fan of Anime could find wrong with this lil' monster! Having been a fan of Mazinger Z since the 70's the construction, fit, finish, and durability of this figure is as good, no GREAT, as advertised! IT IS WORTH THE COST!!! Now I have to re-start the buttering-up process to get the wife to see clear to allowing a Raydeen purchase....

I love this version of Mazinger. Great proportions, nice movement and poses. It comes with all the weapons, rocket punch and Jet scrander. It's kind of smaller than previous SOC Mazingers but overall this is a beautiful figure for any Mazinger fan.

As you can see in the picture there defects in the eyes paint , the yellow paint is falling off . Nobody has ever touch the eyes of the robot , we only open the box and put the robot on the desk for exhibition.Sadly I have to complain for the quality of this product . This product doesn’t have the standard for the price that they sale it .

Me encanto , no esperaba de que fuese totalmente de acero , muy buenos acabados !Una gran figura que hace honor a un gran personaje de anime infantil !Mazin Go !!!!

SOC GX-45 Shin Mazinger is an amazing figure with great articulation and quality. it features die cast metal and a few accessories. I particularly liked the rocket punch gimmick. I rated it 3 star because I bought a used version of this figure and I wasn't expecting the joints to be very loose.
