Is this adhesive borders ?

This one is without border but it’s self adhesive by silicone layer. There is other one with border also listed from MedVance. And clearly mentioned Bordered .

How long can it be left in place?

You will need some kind of tape or wrap if you’d want it to not budge/last longer. It lifts off very easily (especially in sweat/oily areas) with even movement due to its gentle non stick to wounds feature. Even if you don’t move a lot, I’d recommend some tape for security. Should be left only for a few days at most to prevent infection, like regular bandage instructions.

Is this the same thing as Mepilex where are you leave it on for seven days at a time?

Yes and no. This is “borderless” meaning no additional adhesive around the edges. You can leave it in place until it’s soiled and then you must remove it immediately. It is great for pressure sores or to cushion an area that might be vulnerable to them. This product worked well and I’ve used many over the last 11 months for my 91 year old mother. I recommend the product.

It has been about 4 months since I bought/used them, but as I remember, they were waterproof. I wouldn't submerge it like in a bath but showering without a steady stream on it should work. If you look at the last image on the Amazon page they show the packaging reverse side where they state it blocks water while allowing vapor and oxygen through.

Works and is far cheaper than the market leader

The market leader in Silicone dressing costs a lot more. This works. My dad fell and suffered a cut that subsequently needed 14 stitches. This dressing held the long and deep cut together and the blood in - till we reached emergency room 30 minutes later
