Under The Sea Ocean Animals Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle with Storage Tray (24 pcs)

I got this for my 2 yo who loves puzzles. Initially she couldn't do the puzzle on her own and needed a lot of direction, but after several goes at it she can do it herself. And the challenge has kept her interested -- initially she did it over and over. A few months in she can now do it herself and still enjoys it but isn't doing it several times over. The pieces are nice and big for her to grasp, and she has no trouble slotting them into place. The board it comes on is nice and sturdy, and has survived general toddler roughhousing well. Nicely made, brightly colored and engaging.

I bought this puzzle for my almost 2 1/2 year old who loves completing puzzles. This puzzle is beautiful! It is colorful, fun, and engaging. The sea creatures pop out at you with vibrancy and we have fun identifying all of the different animals. The puzzle feels sturdy and well made which is crucial with a toddler. Unlike cardboard puzzles which bend easily, this puzzle is made from solid constructed wood. The pieces, since they are wood, can be a little tight to get into some spots but it hasn't been an issue and my child doesn't seem to have a problem getting them all in place. Now that he has mastered this one, I think it's time to graduate to the 48 pc puzzles next!

My toddler loves puzzles and she mastered the Zoo/Safari one, so I got her the ocean one. The pieces are lightweight and big enough for them to see the details and sort of "match" the color. The shapes fit together nicely, but can be a bit stiff at first use. I love how slim it is so it is easy to store in or under things without taking a bunch of space. Safe to say that if your kid likes puzzles, they will love this!

My granddaughter is 3 1/2 and loves this puzzle. The wood is nice, good size pieces for little fingers. When she was just 3 and first time doing this puzzle, she needed a little help to understand this size puzzle. After the first time she got it and she enjoyed the challenge of it and wanted to do it by herself. She still enjoys it now and is one of the first things she wants to do when she visits me. Colors are bright and the characters are fun .

Nice puzzle, seems well-constructed. My 2.5 year-old went right to work on it, and was able to complete a good percentage of it without help; I think the dramatically different colors of each element in this particular image help with that. Our one complaint is that it is possible to join some of the pieces slightly offset, so they get jammed together (but not perfectly together, if that makes sense). Having two pieces stuck like this can mess up the puzzling. My guess is that this is an issue with the particular choice of cut, and a slight shape change would solve it, but I'm not a woodworker. It's an occasional problem, and not a deal breaker for us. We still bought others in this series. Note: There is no picture for reference (no box to put it on, and they didn't think to include a sheet). My $0.12 fix: Take a picture yourself and print it out (normal paper is fine…go nuts and print several!) if you like having a picture to work with. With the exception of knowing where the corner pieces go, we haven't felt the need for a reference picture, so my $0.02 fix: take a marker and label the corner pieces on the reverse sides ("top left", "bottom right"…). Soon enough, the kid will probably know the locations by heart anyway. Overall: Neat puzzle. Not perfect, but good. Our toddler will have lots more fun with it.

My 92 yo dad still lives at home with my mom, 88 years old. He was hardworking and very active until Alzheimer’s hit. When he entered a tantrum stage I desperately looked for ways mom could “entertain” and calm him. I suggested jig saw puzzles and while there were lots of doubts they have been a hit these past few years. They are but difficult to find, since requirements are thicker, larger, and fewer pieces than average. Colorful, but not too childish. Dad now needs 25 piece puzzles, so I tried this one. I haven’t seen it but mom says it’s his favorite and he jumps with delight when she suggests it! She’s not really a puzzle person, but working it side by side with dad has offered stress freedom for both. She even mentionEd that the others pictured on the box looked good (I just ordered one). BTW, they just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary!

We played this puzzle with our 3 years old grandson and we had a lots of fun.

Toddler love playing with it. Wood puzzle are the best at that age. No tearing pluzzle pieces apart.
