I bought the clay for a festival and I loved the way the head of my idol came out. Very expressive and detailed! I wanted a genuine clay and this did not feel plasticky at all. It comes as a tiny slab in a colourful card-paper vacuum seal packaging.For a first timer using clay I had a lot of fun shaping it. The only issue was that I was a bit slow so the clay was drying out too quickly for me. Joining body parts became an issue because of this! I recommend having a setup(wet towels, water on hand, shaping tools, etc.) before opening the package in case you are also starting out, just like me.Another important tip is- Please plan the amount of clay you will need, well ahead(include the arrival time, etc.) My local Michaels did not have terracotta clay so when I ran out of the 1lb I ordered, I did not have extra to embellish my idol toward the end! I had to gather a lot of dried scraps and rehydrate them and fiddle with it a lot. Rehydrating dried clay is not the best idea IMO, the results are not as good.This product stains any grainy surfaces and the stains set with time so you need to clean up quickly after messes, and make sure the kids playing with it are not near any items you dearly love.

Just to note: the 1-lb comes in a sealed plastic bag, not a bucket. However, it was enough for my 4 year old granddaughter to make about 15 ornaments to give family and friends. It was easy to work with. I recommend you keep it at least 1/4" thick, and a little thicker if you will use stamps with it. It took about 4-5 days in warm, humid weather to fully dry items that thickness.

I like this clay. The color is nice. It takes about 2-3 days to dry completely. I think the quality is great for beginners, adults or children.

Product is good but was a little to dry and hard straight from the package.

This clay was easy, dried overnight, and was the perfect start for myself who has a little experience with clay, but has not mastered it yet. I highly reccommend it to those who are doing a small project!

I thought this would be a bucket of clay and was very disappointed when I received the package and found out it was not. The display picture is very deceiving. The quality of the product is good. Just wish I got more for my buck.

Super easy to use. I make stamped aromatherapy necklaces with this clay and they always turn out beautifully.

I really like this clay. Its the perfect consistency for what I'm using it for. I'm going to be purchasing more soon.

No matter what I do I can barely form a ball. I add a bit of water to try and work it but it just cracks when it dries. Tried a few times with the same results.

Product is great. I found it very expensive for the amount in package.

Perfect for making own essential oil charms. Very versatile
