Bugs!
It’s a small portion and doesn’t really have flavor to it but it was fun and interesting for the kids.

So delicious!!!! I’m from Bucaramanga and we eat ants I was missing the flavor and I wanted to give it a try and wow so tasty.. I played a game with my husband and the one that loses was going to eat one - lol funny because we both wanted to lose at the end.. ate everything at once , I hope that was ok lol

Mostly delicious
This mix is really tasty. It was my first time eating larvae and pupae and the experience was pretty good. The silkworm pupae were unexpectedly juicy, and I’m still not sure I liked them—there were only two in the bag. Not a bad mix, but way too expensive. I know that’s par for the course with edible insects, but there are cheaper, equally-tasty bargains out there. Not sorry I bought this, but most likely won’t do so again.

Not so great..but ok
First off, the bag could be bigger for the price. It's no bigger then a small bag of candy. The taste was ok but could use more flavor. They're great for a salad or something. I don't think I will be buying this item again.

Finally, a snack that literally crawls down your throat.
I’ve spent plenty of time dealing with "bugs" at work, so it felt only right to finally start eating them. I picked up this Erbies Edible Bug Mixed Trail Mix, and honestly, it’s the most honest marketing I’ve seen in years. The "Feature" List:The Variety Pack: The mix includes Crickets, Grasshoppers, Silkworm Pupae, and Sago Worms. It’s like a tiny, crunchy nature documentary in a bag.Texture Analysis: If you’ve ever wondered what "crunchy on the outside, questionable on the inside" feels like, the Sago Worms are for you. They have a certain... depth of character. The "I Dare You" Factor: This is the ultimate office snack. Leave a bowl of these out during a meeting and watch everyone suddenly become very focused on their notes to avoid making eye contact with a dehydrated grasshopper.High Protein, No Drama: These bugs actually performed exactly as expected. They were seasoned well, incredibly crunchy, and strangely "ok".If you’re tired of boring, traditional snacks and want to embrace our future insect overlords one leg at a time, this is the bag for you. It’s a great conversation starter—mostly conversations that end with "Why are you like this?"

Attempted to return for the safety of children, and unopened items NOT eligible for return!
We ordered 5 packages of these edible bugs for a "Fear Factor" type program event at an afterschool program. We had two staff members try the bugs before feeding them to children. One staff member ate a small grub and another staff member ate a large grasshopper and a large cricket. Later that same evening, the staff member who ate the two larger bugs got violently ill with an undetermined gastrointestinal bug for several days and nearly ended up in the hospital. It was decided for the safety of the children in the program, that we would not allow the children to try the bugs, and would instead return them to the manufacturer- ONLY WE COULDN'T! We assumed the open bag would not be eligible for return, but the remaining 4 bags were completely untouched and STILL not eligible for return, which means our non-profit afterschool program that went out on a limb to provide fun programming for kiddos, is now stuck with $40 worth of bugs we cannot use OR return! Was is the bugs that made the staff member sick? We do not know, but what we DO know, is that we should have been able to return the unopened packages of bugs to the manufacturer. As for the product itself:Appearance: Exactly as expectedTaste: The grasshopper reportedly tasted like salty grass, the cricket tasted less grassy but much like the shell of a sunflower seed. The grub had no distinct taste (gross or otherwise). The product arrived as expected and I don't have complaints about the product, necessarily, but I am very disappointed that I cannot return the unopened packages.

Perfect for a bug eating challenge
I purchased this for a bug eating challenge. It was fun having a variety of bugs. I do not think I would purchase this as anything other than a novelty item though. The package was a lot smaller than I expected for the price to be honest. If you're looking to try them out and gross out your friends, go for it...if you're looking for actual nourishment, surely there's a better deal out there.FYI of all 5 varieties, the small silkworm had the best texture. Almost like puffed corn! If you're not someone who already eats insects though, don't expect them to taste good. As some other reviews mentioned, you know what you're getting into when you buy bugs...they taste as you would expect.

A Bug is a bug is still a bug.
Well, they are bugs. Crispy? Yes. Delicious? No. My grandsons love bugs and wanted to try the edible ones. It was a fun purchase and satisfied their curiosity, but that’s about it. Yuck! Probably if you chocolate-covered them, they would be better. But in that case, just eat the chocolate. I was tempted to cover them in chocolate and offer them to the unawares, but it seemed too unethical for even me. I gave them 5 stars because they were exactly as described. Most of them even came with their legs still attached. But only 3 stars for taste. That saying, my husband ate a few handfuls of them without concern or disgust. It takes all kinds.
