Photographed a party, this did a great job on the Sony A7RV. Totally automatic, bounced off the ceiling and gave photos a natural look. Camera and flash together got the exposure correct and the recycle time was near instant even when taking 7 frames a second.

Ideal Compact Flash
I purchased the HVL-F28RM for use with my A7CR and A7R V cameras because it provides a decent flash output in a very compact format. I have been delighted with the results, and it works seamlessly with the A7CR and A7R V straight out of the box. The face detection is particularly good as it uses the camera's face detection information to ensure the correct exposure of skin tones. Although a guide number of 28 might seem a bit low, it is very good for the physical size of this flash. It's also important to remember that Sony Alpha cameras are excellent at higher ISOs so increasing the ISO to 400 or 800 gives a significant range increase with little loss of quality. I shall be buying a second HVL-F28RM to use as a second flash for more interesting lighting setups.

A very compact and easy to use camera flash. Must have one if you have a mirrorless camera with no flash. definitly the pictures are much better with flash
