Puerh tea loose leaf, Ripe Pu'erh Tea, Aged Black Tea 8 oz

I spent some time in Taiwan and fell in love with Puer (Puerh, Pu'erh) tea. When I got back to the States, it was hard to find a decent Puer with the taste that I remembered having tasted in Taiwan. After several years of looking, I stumbled on to this tea here on Amazon and tried it. Bingo! This blend is excellent. The flavor and color of this tea is simply wonderful. Not to mention the incredible aroma! Depending on how long you steep it, the strength is either light or nice and "heavy." I prepare mine in a traditional Chinese clay teapot allowing it to steep for 3 minutes for the first cup, 5 minutes for the second, and 12 for the third. You can use the leaves for more than three cups but, for me, the flavor starts to wane a little too much. As I'm letting the tea cool down before I take the first sip, I hold my cup up to my nose and just breathe in. One can almost say that this tea is an experience and has become my go-to tea. I am currently on my third bag and will continue to order it as long as it is available! And yes, I highly recommend this Puer tea.

This is a very good puerh tea. Is it the richest, most complex you can buy? No, it is not. But as an everyday selection, I quite like it. It has replaced coffee as my morning beverage of choice for several years now. I don't get any of the off-flavors that some others do (fishy...really?) It has a nice smokiness, just the right touch of bitter, and the earthiness I really enjoy. Try a cuppa...it's good!

I ordered two teas, the pu'erh and gunpowder. The gunpowder is great. I steep it twice for roughly 3-7 minutes, it can be bitter if steeped too long. It's pretty strong for green tea, which I appreciate. I didn't love the pu'erh, but was offered a refund after reviewing. Customer service was great.

Unsure what type of tea was sent; however it isn't puerh tea and it taste terrible. Very bitter.

I had always been iffy about tea until I figured out I just really liked black tea. Then I figured out I liked earthy tasting things. Then I tried this on a whim, and I am hooked. I have completely cut out coffee due to this tea, which doesn’t need a single thing in it to improve the taste, it’s good as it is!!! I hope this brand never stops selling this stuff because it’s my favorite of all time. Have ordered twice in the last month and keep barreling through it

16 ounces is a lot of tea. Great value. Great for sun brewing.
